Selling my 2007 GMC 2500 SLT diesel truck with 6.6L Duramax diesel LMM with Allison automatic transmission.
Purchased new by me original owner at Timbrook Pontiac Buick GMC in Cumberland Maryland in April of 2007. I ordered a new 2014 so I'm selling this truck to the highest bidder.Reserve is fair !
Truck is in excellent driving condition with normal wear & tear some scratches a few dings & paint chips you would expect on a 183,000 mile vehicle. Imperfections are some paint chips on the hood surface with some rust on hood where these chips are located on hood leading edge. A new GM factory part replacement hood has been ordered and will be painted to match and re-installed on the truck before it leaves here. Seller wants buyer to be assured truck is 100% good to go!
On a 1 to 10 the paint & finish is a 7 in my honest opinion and the mechanical's of the truck are a perfect "10" with all maintenance completed by the GMC garage where it was purchased new. We have recently within the last 30,000 miles replaced both front wheel bearings on the truck as well as the CV joints on the passenger side. All U joints have been replaced with greaseable type factory GM u-joints. Oil was changed every 5,000 miles with Shell Rotella 15W-40 oil. Truck has never been wrecked or driven off highway and has only towed a small amount of times in its life. This truck was a daily driver for me for almost 7 years with no problems that ever kept it from doing that job. Always started up quickly in the coldest of winters.
The wheels tires accessories etc. all cost me about $6,500 as an add on when installed new. You are buying a good looking black GMC Duramax SLT that turns heads everywhere it goes. No worries buying this truck as it has a lot of good years and service life miles left on her. I will miss this truck for sure but do not need two trucks so she is going to go.
Any questions please email them to me through Ebay or call me direct at 301-697-0084.
Full payment required prior to shipping or pickup of vehicle. Inspections are welcome.  We can arrange shipping also or you can pickup the truck here in Hyndman Pa. 15545

GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia

Thu, 09 Feb 2012

General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.

NHTSA investigates 1.7 million GM SUVs for windshield wiper failures

Tue, Nov 6 2018

WASHINGTON - The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Tuesday it is investigating whether General Motors should recall an additional 1.7 million sport utility vehicles due to an issue with windshield wiper failures. GM in August 2016 recalled 367,800 2013 GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox SUVs in the United States to address the problem. But after receiving 249 complaints about similar problems, the federal agency said it is probing whether the recall should be expanded to include an additional 1.7 million vehicles from the 2010-2016 model years. The automaker said it is cooperating with the NHTSA review. GM said it recalled the 2013 GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox SUVs "because warranty data showed a higher-than-expected failure rate," adding it has continued to monitor field data on other model years of those vehicles. GM noted that no crashes or injuries related to the issue have been reported. The Detroit-based automaker said the recalls were prompted after a GM Canada brand quality manager reported a potential safety issue relating to reports of windshield wiper failures in Canada through GM's "Speak Up For Safety," program in late 2015. The data showed significantly higher field incidents in parts of Canada, which prompted a June 2016 recall there. Over the next two months, a higher number of U.S. reports prompted a U.S. recall, the company added. In the 2016 recall, GM said the front-wiper module would be replaced with a module that has a water deflector and, if needed, dealers would fill the water management hole and drill a new small hole in a different location.(Reporting by David Shepardson, editing by G Crosse)Related Video: Government/Legal Recalls Chevrolet GM GMC SUV

370,000 new Silverado and Sierra pickups recalled over fire risk

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

General Motors announced late Friday that it will recall around 370,000 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra fullsize pickups from the 2014 model year over a possible fire risk. The recall covers select 4.3-liter V6 and 5.3-liter V8 models, which can evidently suffer engine compartment fires due to the overheating of exhaust components. GM notes that the fire issue may be preceded by a check engine light and an "engine power reduced" message on the driver information display.
Thus far, GM is aware of eight fires stemming from this problem (although only three of those incidents affected customer-owned vehicles), and all of the fires were reported in areas with "very cold weather." GM is urging owners to not leave their vehicles unintended while idling. No injuries have resulted from the fires in question.
The Detroit-based automaker has pledged to start mailing out recall letters on January 16. The fix, which involves software reprogramming, is estimated to be a 20-minute repair, and will be made free of charge.
