Selling my 2005 GMC Seirra 2500 SLE extended cab Duramax 4x4. It presently has 197,000 miles on it with Allison automatic transmission and runs very strong with no issues. I had an EFI Live DSP5 switch with Dan's Diesel Tunes professionally installed last year which gives me a choice of 5 different stages of power. Everything else is stock on truck which is loaded with every option except leather and moon roof. Interior is gray cloth and in excellent shape with one very small rip on side of drivers seat.(I can send pics of interior) Also I am a non smoker. Exterior is dark grey metallic and also in very nice shape with one baseball size dent near bottom rear of box(drivers side). Tires are like new and have less than 8000 miles on them. Everything works as it should with truck needing nothing. No injector work, no ball joint issues, no tranny problems, etc. Just get in and drive. I am asking $4000 under book value as I need to downsize. Come take a look. You will be happy you did. I just had truck detailed. Very nice. GMC boss wants a Jeep Wrangler rival

Challengers come and challengers go, but the Jeep Wrangler continues to push forward even after vehicles like the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the entire Hummer brand have been shut down. Now GMC reportedly wants to take a stab at the quintessential Jeep, as well.
The news comes directly from Buick-GMC vice president Duncan Aldred, speaking with our compatriots over at Edmunds. Although Aldred said there are no plans currently on the table to expand GMC's lineup beyond the current range, "there is plenty of room everywhere in the hierarchy."
That could include a rival to the Wrangler, as well as a flagship luxury SUV positioned above the current Yukon Denali (pictured above). Just when (or for that matter, if) such models might come into fruition remains a big question mark, but it's certainly interesting to see what GM's dedicated truck brand has on the drawing board.

2015 Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon airbag problem causes recall

The recall affects 2,432 vehicles, though only 138 had actually reached consumers.
General Motors quickly fixed an airbag-wiring problem with the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, but is still conducting a small recall to repair the midsize trucks that are launching this fall.

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches

General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
