This is a very nice truck! These are often seen with 400-500K miles still running and driving! This truck has plenty of power and a long life ahead. It's just starting to get broken in and she will pin your ears back when you need the turbo. A Rock Sold Truck! It's been well cared for and never abused always kept out of the weather.
NADA books @ $18,350 and KBB @ $18,050 neither one allowed selection for all the extra MODS that this truck has available, such as the aux. fuel tank, the gooseneck hitch, brake controller, or the programmer. Great Questions:
1.) This has always been a southern Truck. We don't have enough snow here to salt the roads and cause problems with rust like in the north. There is NO rust of any concern.
2.) Since I've owned the truck well over 95% of the time I didn't tow anything, because I also own a F-450 7.3L with a 12' dump and that is my work truck. This truck was used to commute back and for to work (approx. 70 miles a day round trip). When I did tow, the remaining 5% of the time, the load never exceeded 6K lbs.
3.) I really like this truck and hate to sell it, because I've got a lot of money invested in the truck and I know the new Duramax's are in the $50-$65K range now depending on options. I probably won't be able to replace this easily should the need arise. But I have a Honda Accord (34mpg) that I drive now as a commuter and with my other work truck this guy has been sitting. I have a loan on a piece of heavy equipment that I'm going to pay off when this truck sells.
Q: Looks like a nice truck. My questions are:
1 Have the injectors been changed (this model had issues?)?
2 Can I expect to get 26 mpg highway with truck as it is?
3 How often and type of oil used for oil changes?
4 Have other fluids been changed, and when?
A: 1.) Yes, the problematic orig. injectors were replaced by the dealer aroung 47-50k and all - 8 injectors were replaced with new 200k mile warranted (rated) injectors. These should be good for at least another 100K.
2.) Yes, on the interstate with the cruise control (Towing no load) I have seen 25-26mpg.
3.) I've changed oil ever 5K with Rotella 15w-40 and changed Fuel Filter ever 15k
4.) I can produce a complete set of maintenance records from the dealer. I've had the transmission flushed and filter/ fluid replaced around 85-90K. Also recently had the coolant flushed and replaced around 120k miles -- just preventative maintenance.
Overall, this truck is Solid! I have taken very good care of it and have no reservations should I have to drive it cross country right now! It's a real through bread stallion and when you need the muscle this truck has a very impressive launch from any speed.

In the video game world of the Madden NFL series, the Super Bowl MVP gets a 2014 GMC Sierra Denali. Why no Stingray in the video game? Because GMC inked a deal with EA Sports for the truck and SUV builder to be named the official vehicle of the football video game's twenty-fifth anniversary edition.
The new Sierra Denali will be joined by the Yukon, Acadia, and Terrain in game, with stadium promotions for the brand throughout the season. Yes, even when you're beating the hell out of your buddy who insists on playing with the hateful Cowboys, you'll be seeing commercials. (Hold your keystrokes, Cowboy fans. We're just kidding. Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox
Mon, Jan 9 2017Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. GM recalling Silverado and Sierra HD diesel pickups over fuel gauge follies
Fri, 03 Jan 2014General Motors is recalling 9,733 of its heavy-duty twins over concerns with their 6.6-liter diesel engines and dual fuel tanks. The recall covers some Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups from model years 2012 and 2013, although the exact dates that the recalled trucks were built isn't specified. There's also no mention of how many models come from Chevrolet and how many are from GMC.
The problem rests with the transfer pump responsible for moving fuel from the rear tank to the front tank - it could fail, resulting in an inaccurate fuel gauge. It hardly requires explaining, but a faulty fuel gauge could leave drivers in a situation where they run out of diesel.
GM will begin notifying customers of affected vehicles, who will be asked to report to their dealers for a free replacement transfer pump.
