For Auction is one 1999 GMC 2500 truck. This was a transition year for this model and this truck for auction is the earlier model year body style. It also has a 350 Vortec motor which was transitioned later in the model year as well. This was the last year of the very reliable 350 motor.

The truck has push button, "shift on the fly" 4 wheel drive which works as it should. The body and frame condition are in good condition for the year of the truck, with typical scratches and minor dings. There is a crease running from the passengers side door half way thru the side of the bed (I grazed a concrete filled lally column), but it is not that bad. I will provide many pictures showing the dent and the general overall condition of the body of the truck. A few years ago the cab corner on the drivers side was replaced/repaired because of rust thru. Again I will provide pictures and you will have a hard time telling it was repaired. Please consider that this is a 14 yr. old truck and it has been used as a work truck. It did have a plow on it for a time (a couple of years) but it was seldom used. There are also a few small rust holes in the front bumper(I will show in pictures). It had a Fisher Minute Mount plow and the push plates are still on the truck. THERE IS NO PLOW WITH THE TRUCK. I don't want to down grade the truck, it is a really nice truck for the year and it runs as it should. I just want to be sure that potential  bidders are realistic about what they are bidding on, that's all.

The truck also has a Trac Rac System and a bed tool box.

Tires are about 50%

It should be noted that the truck is not currently registered, nor does it have a current Ma. state inspection sticker. I purchased a newer model utility body truck for work last November and I have not used this truck after the registration expired at the end of 2012. I held on to the truck as a spare, but have since decided to sell it. Just to make sure everything was ok with the truck I brought it to my mechanic to have him go thru it. No problems.

The truck also has a Happy Jack slide in truck camper tie down system installed, and it also has an after market air bag suspension as well. I purchased this truck with a slide in camper. I will have some additional pictures of the camper to view and if anyone is interested I would make the camper available for sale for an additional $2000.00. to the winning bidder. The camper is a 1992 Sun-Lite Hide Away model, fully contained with both black and grey holding tanks. Bathroom,  sinks, stove, oven, 3-way refridge, 12v-110v power inverter, ice cold air conditioner, heat, large cab-over bed, dinette/bed, closet, cabinet storage. It has no leaks. It had a leak when I bought it but it has been repaired with a whole new ceiling, no more leaks. Overall this is a nice camper and it matches perfectly with the truck. If anyone is interested I can answer any additional questions. I would entertain selling it separately for $2500.00. I will eventually try to auction it separately in the near future.

If anyone wants to view this truck please make arrangements with me.

Feel confident in bidding, questions are encouraged.

Good Luck!

In the interest of getting this truck listed I only have a few pictures, I promise to have more many tomorrow night as well as the camper. The current pics don't show the toolbox . I will have it installed and will show in pictures as well tomorrow night.

2014 GMC Sierra

Is the Best GMC Truck Ever Made Good Enough?
We've got a bright aluminum Airstream camper hitched to our rear bumper as we head up Southern California's coast because GMC says that 60 percent of all full-size pickup owners will use their trucks for towing.
Rather than forcing us to absorb its capabilities in a long-winded PowerPoint presentation, the automaker brought us to Los Angeles and handed us the keys to its all-new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. After jumping behind the wheel of a 5.3-liter V8 model, we drove up the foggy Malibu coast (locals call the soggy early-summer weather "June Gloom") and made our way to the Camarillo Airport for a towing refresher. Once completed, a brand-new 23-foot Airstream was hitched to our aft end and we were pointed towards a campground just west of Santa Barbara.

Son surprises his dad by restoring his 1949 pickup for Christmas

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Norman Meal, an 83-year-old retired farmer from Rushville, IN, nearly missed his big Christmas gift when his son, Kyle, first presented it to him. Norman was oblivious and was looking all over the garage floor until Kyle pointed out a satin black pickup with a bow on it parked inside. This wasn't just another case of a child buying a parent a dream vehicle; the '49 GMC sitting there was Norman's very first truck that was restored and ready to drive. According to Fox 59 WXIN, Norman's father purchased the GMC in 1949, and Norman bought it from him in the mid '50s to use on the farm. However, for about the past 13 years, the truck had been rotting away in the garage of one of Kyle's friends. As a perfect gift to his dad, Kyle took the pickup to a restoration shop to make the old vehicle roadworthy again. Practically everything was replaced – except for the horn. Thankfully, Kyle filmed his dad's reaction to getting the GMC. Check it out and watch them take a drive in the heartwarming video above.
