1987 Gmc Sierra Fuel Injected 4spd Chevrolet Silverado Bagged Shop Truck Patina on 2040-cars
Wichita, Kansas, United States
Up forsale is an extremely nice example of a solid 87 gmc pickup. We got this truck with the intentions of slamming it, using it as a shop truck and keeping it for ourselves, but with a couple dozen other projects this must go. The out side body has been buffed out and is all original with great patina, all of the door, fender, hood and trunk gaps are very nice and tight. The truck does have some hail damage on the hood and roof, it has a grandma dent on the driver fender and rust only in both cab corners, It is a driven truck it's not perfect nor meant to be perfect it is a great useable cool truck, fix the cab corners slam it and drive it. The drive train in this truck is the original TBI 305 with a 4spd on the floor. This thing has about the coolest dealer installed A/c that I have seen it's all under the dash like a vintage air kit so there is nothing on the firewall. For all you bagged and slammed guys like me the big firewall box was a pain on these body style trucks to get low with out rubbing or having to remove, not this truck slam it and have the air on. I was told from the previous owner, the trucks A/C needed to be charged and not having r12 he just unhooked the belt. I do not know this for sure but everything is still hooked up and appears un tampered with. The truck has all new brakes including rubber lines, new clutch including slave cylinder, new battery, new full exhaust, new windshield and new carpet. The tires have great tread and all appear recent. Interior on this truck is very respectable and perfect for a driver with manual doors and locks you won't have to worry about slow electric windows, the factory dash pad is cracked like they all are but with the carpet overlay it still looks great. It does have an aftermarket sony tape player with aftermarket speakers behind the seat which all work and sound great. It is a very tight and quiet truck on the inside, can't even hear it at idle, The steering and brakes are all nice and tight it drives straight as an arrow down the road at any speed! Did I mention it is Fuel Injected! First year for the fuel injection and last year of this body style! This truck comes with a clean and CLEAR TITLE the odometer reading shows 68k and by driving it you would believe this true but according to the title it has 168k miles. Good luck to all the bidders, If you have ANY questions Please Please call 316-253-0591 or 316-650-0888 before you bid. There are no warranties expressed or implied and the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. Thanks Again and Good luck!

GM announces 6 recalls covering nearly 720k cars
Wed, 23 Jul 2014General Motors has announced yet another sprawling recall campaign, with six separate elements covering 717,950 vehicles on US roads. At this point in 2014, it's starting to seem like there are more days with a GM recall than without. Perhaps most troubling about this latest volley, though, is that every vehicle is from the past few years, indicating that GM's quality woes may not be limited to pre-bankruptcy vehicles.
The largest element of this latest campaign covers 414,333 units, and includes the 2011 to 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, 2010 to 2012 Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX and the 2011 to 2012 Buick Regal and LaCrosse. Only vehicles with powered, height-adjustable seats are covered. In these particular cars and crossovers, the bolt that secures the height adjuster actuator may loosen of its own accord and in some cases fall out completely. If this happens, the seats will be able to move both up and down. GM claims the vehicles are safe to drive, provided drivers don't vertically adjust their seats. This particular issue has caused one crash and three injuries.

Daily Driver: 2015 GMC Canyon
Mon, May 4 2015Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, featuring impressions from the staffers that drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 GMC Canyon, reviewed by Seyth Miersma. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT [00:00:00] Hey, guys. This is Seyth with Autoblog, and I'm here in the 2015 GMC Canyon pickup truck. The version I'm in is about as bare bones as this truck gets. We've got a convenience group package, which means I have things like a remote lock and unlock. I've got a spray-in bed liner and then I've got the very tiny but still useful infotainment system, which allows for things like hooking up your phone, [00:00:30] Bluetooth streaming music from my iPhone to the sound system, things of that nature. Really there's not a whole lot here. What you see is what you get. The interior is pretty basic. We've got gray plastic. We've got black plastic. We've got these gray cloth seats which I actually kind of dig. They've got a cool shape. It's comfortable in terms of the interior but it's certainly not fancy at all. You go back and look into the segment and you look at offerings from Nissan and Toyota and you'll see that this really feels pretty [00:01:00] plush certainly compared to their base level trucks. We've got the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder in it. Still makes 200 horsepower and 191 pound feet of torque. It doesn't feel completely slow but I'll admit that some of that has to do with the fact that I have a six-speed to play around with. I'm revving it up a little bit higher than you normally would with a pickup truck. It's not fast. It doesn't mean that it's not a little bit fun to drive. [00:01:30] We've come so far in terms of overall ride quality, noise vibration and harshness and things of that nature in all pickup trucks that it's frankly surprising to see something at the very bottom end in terms of price of the market be as good as this is. I think that you're going to get a lot of people who are into the truck lifestyle who like the look. You're going to get a lot of people who are moving down from bigger trucks that still want to have a little bit of capability. Then with things with a truck of this nature where you're talking about a [00:02:00] sub-$25,000 price point, you're just going to get a lot of people who want a vehicle of any kind, kind of a budget vehicle.
2018 GMC Acadia with 'Christmas Aero' modification gets in the wind tunnel
Sat, Dec 16 2017Tis the season of "Big" - big cheer, big parties, big bowls of eggnog, big decorations, and when it comes to your family hauler, big drag. Festive drivers who festoon their crossovers, minivans, and SUVs with wreaths, Rudolph noses, fuzzy antlers, and rooftop Christmas trees undo the years of work that car engineers devote to fractional gains in fuel economy. To put numbers to such fuel-guzzling madness, GMC started with a 2018 Acadia, optioned it with the Xmas Aero Package - both Standard and Plus versions - put it in Lockheed-Martin's wind tunnel. The resulting dip in fuel economy results probably won't surprise anyone who's used a roof rack - or, for that matter, their car's air conditioning. However, it might surprise you to find out which seemingly substantial decoration had no effect, and which seemingly innocuous decoration was about twice as bad as running the A/C on its Mr. Freeze setting. Check out the brief video above for the results. And consider placement of that bow carefully.
