I just got in this 1984 GMC Jimmy from a good friend of my who does not have the internet, so I am selling for him. I have known this truck since it was brand new from the first owner who had it. My friend who bought it from him 15 years ago with 33,000. miles on it at the time so it is a true TWO OWNER Truck since new. I took as many pictures as possible to show how nice and how original this truck really is, the only body work on vehicle is driver rear quarter, was fixed when it was dented twenty years ago. Other than that is is original paint and original interior.Drivers seat has a smell tear on bottom cushion about 4" long No Burn holes in seats. Runs and Drives like new all gauges and radio, A/C, heat all work. The pin stripe, rims, side boards were put on by the first owner when the truck was new. Tires are 90% tread, you can see under the hood on the radiator support original factory crayon number (89) and on the back of radiator support and on the front of the hood all shown in pictures. Also on frame rail factory crayon mark in pictures, in the pictures it looks dirty or surface rust, BUT most of it is the Rusty Jones undercoating done at the dealer. By the way the dealer was Scranton Motors in Vernon, CT. The vehicle was also serviced there for years, both owners live ten miles from the dealership and are good friends, that is how the second owner aquired the vehicle. I have all the records and books along with spare keys, transmission was re-built of course at 65,000. miles and while transmission was out they did the Transfer Case also. The paint is a 9 out of 10 rating, the pin stripe has been touched up over the years but still thin in many spots as pictures show. Only rust is on the bottom under doors between rocker and rear quarter which I have pictures of. I replaced passenger inner fender well because original had typical rust around mounts, I have pictures of original inner fender well to show. I also have a new drivers inner fender well that goes with it. The original was just to nice to replace! Other than that this truck is one of the nicest in the country. Don't Miss Out, selling AS IS, I have a CLEAN/CLEAR CT Title. If you have any questions, or if you would like to come see it, I live twenty minutes from Bradley International Airport and will pick you up if you would like to look at it and drive it. 2020 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty teased, and you better believe there's a huge grille
Fri, Jan 18 2019Chevrolet has shown us a few photos of its redesigned Silverado Heavy Duty, and today we score our first teaser of the GMC Sierra version of this truck. The most controversial feature of the Silverado HD has to be its massive grille, and the Sierra appears to be no different. Just from this photo of the face, we can already tell it's going to be as bold, some might say gaudy, as the Chevy. We'll have to wait awhile to see it all, though, as GM says the Sierra HD will be making its debut in the second half of 2019. It's no Supra teaser campaign, but this one is already starting out pretty early for a work pickup truck. As far as features and technical details go, mum is the word for now. However, we can assume the Sierra will be nearly identical with the Silverado HD powertrain-wise. We know two engines will be offered on that truck, one being a gasoline V8 and the other a Duramax turbodiesel V8 — the former will be mated to a six-speed automatic, while the latter gets the 10-speed auto. Even though it isn't out yet, the torque figure is already less than the Ram and Ford heavy duty trucks at 910 pound-feet from the diesel. The Ram Heavy Duty just revealed at the Detroit Auto Show scores a whopping 1,000 pound-feet of twist in the torque department. We'll know more about the Sierra HD when the Silverado HD presumably gets revealed with full details at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show at the beginning of February. One thing's for sure: If you want chrome and lots of it, you're gonna get it with the 2020 GMC Sierra HD. 2020 Chevy Silverado HD View 5 Photos Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
Autoblog Garage Video: 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X is a rugged and refined truck
Wed, Apr 19 2023In this episode of Autoblog Garage, we take a tour of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X. This big beast of a truck isn't just a bruiser, with its 6.2-liter V8 and 33-inch mud-terrain tires. It's got a soft side — inside. After the Sierra's refresh for 2022, it gets better interiors to help differentiate it from its Chevy Silverado cousin, and the AT4X's cabin is about as nice as the exterior is tough. Despite its size and off-road intentions, the AT4X still makes for a comfortable daily driver, especially in the middle of a Michigan ice storm. Join us as we take a walk around the AT4X, from its rugged exterior and trick tailgate to its cozy, tech-filled interior and potent powertrain. Get a close look at its features, and learn more about details from specs to pricing in the video above. Come back on Wednesdays for more videos from the Autoblog Garage.
