- 4x4 - Black leather - All options, including Navigation (with XM satellite radio), Heated Seats, and Remote Start/keyless entry (2 sets of keys and fobs included) - On Star service available - Drop down DVD entertainment - 3 rows of seating - Power everything - Factory towing package with hitch - Power moonroof - Side head airbags - every option available - Service records available - approx. 140k miles (still driven every day, so this number will change) Known issues: Rear power wiper does not work (I don't use it, so I haven't troubleshot it at all), AC compressor has leak so AC is currently not working, it does intermittently leak or burn oil between oil changes (typically 1-2 qts between changes, which my mechanic said is totally normal for the age/mileage), and there are scratches, knicks, and dings typical of having kids (see pictures - rear bumper is the worst of it, from backing into our boat trailer). The good: Runs and drives great. New tires, brakes, upper/lower ball joints in the last 5k miles. Looks very good for age/mileage, and it's totally loaded. We're the second owner (owned it since 2008), and put nearly 100k on her. Needs nothing but a new owner! No reserve, so this thing is really priced to sell! eBay Find of the Day: 1976 GMC Motorhome is a jolly green giant
Wed, 18 Jun 2014If you have a need to relive the 1970s, then here is the vehicle for you. This groovy blast from the past is a 1976 GMC Motorhome currently for auction in Florida on eBay Motors, and it is one green machine - just not in the modern sense.
The seller claims that this beast has had just two owners and has covered a mere 61,308 miles in its decades on the road. It's reportedly never been restored or repainted and comes with all of the necessary books and manuals. A 7.5-liter (455-cubic-inch) Oldsmobile V8 with a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission powering the front wheels propels this far-out RV, and the double set of rear wheels out back use a self-leveling air suspension to provide a cushy ride.
The purported low miles and good condition really make this GMC a stand out, though. The exterior combination of lime stripes and beige with just a touch of green is like nothing else on the road today. Plus, the polished bumpers and wheels make it all pop. Inside, it's even better with monochromatic green upholstery and shag carpet. It features everything you'd ever need on a long trip, including a bathroom, kitchenette and lots of seating. The only hint of modernization is an HD TV next to the stove, but its size is a perfect fit for the hole there.

2016 Green Truck of the Year, Commercial Green Car of the Year finalists

The 2016 Green Truck of the Year, the second time the award has been handed out, is being decided by judges from Green Car Journal and the San Antonio Auto & Truck Show. This year the award is joined by the new 2016 Commercial Green Car of the Year, which crowns one of the little vans increasingly used by small business as cargo and delivery vehicles. The Green Truck of the Year finalists are the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax (pictured), Ford F-150, GMC Canyon Duramax, Nissan Titan XD, and Toyota Tacoma. The first three of those were on last year's list, but since they are completely new or upgraded for 2016 - Ford with its all-aluminum body, the General Motors twins with the new diesel Duramax engine - they qualify for entry again. The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel won last year. The Commercial Green Car finalists are the Chevrolet City Express, Ford Transit Connect, Mercedes-Benz Metris, Nissan NV200, and Ram ProMaster City.
