2011 GMC Acadia SLT2
Hello- I am selling a Very Nice, and Hard Loaded GMC Acadia with the SLT2 pkg. It is a 1 owner vehicle and has always been very well cared after. The vehicle has 89,000 highway mile, but seriously looks, drives, and runs like it has 20,000. It is a very attractive color combination and is extremely comfortable to drive. It rides so smooth, and very quite inside. It has a towing capacity of 5200 lbs. - so you can tow your boat, or camper in style and comfort. It is a 7 passenger vehicle, so there is room for everyone, and a nice DVD system in the rear. This vehicle needs absolutely nothing, so you can pick it up locally, or fly in and drive home. I am selling the car for my sister-in-law, and she has a clean, clear title in hand. The vehicle has a clean car fax and has never had any accidents, or issues at all. The tires are good, and have about 50% tread left. It has a very few, minor nicks and dings. I just detailed it today, and was very impressed with its condition. No disappointments! If you check KBB and NADA, you will see we have priced it to sell. She has already purchased a new car, and would like the Acadia to go to a new home for the next owner to enjoy. GM planning to put its fullsize pickups on a big diet, too
Fri, 19 Jul 2013General Motors is just coming off a complete redesign of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra for 2014, but in the US fullsize truck market, there is no rest for the weary. According to Reuters, plans are already unfurling for both trucks to drop pounds from their curb weight over the next few years, but this will unlikely be able to keep pace with the 700-pound diet targeted for the next-generation Ford F-150, a truck expected to debut late next year.
The biggest weight reduction for these trucks might not be available until the next full redesign, which will likely happen around 2019, but the article says that smaller updates could shave pounds in the meantime. Two examples given include an "aluminum-intensive" version of the Silverado that could shed 250 pounds and debut around the same time as the lighter-weight, aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford, and there is also talk of reducing weight for driveline components such as axles and driveshafts. These changes are all part of an attempt to meet strict new fuel economy standards coming in 2017, targets which will get even tougher in 2025.

GM recalls 3.6 million vehicles for airbag-software problems
Fri, Sep 9 2016The Basics: General Motors is recalling 3.64 million vehicles across its lineup for an airbag-related issue. The recall covers the 2014-2015 Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet SS, and Spark EV; 2014-2017 Chevrolet Corvette, Trax, Caprice PPV, Silverado 1500, Buick Encore, and GMC Sierra 1500; and 2015-2017 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, Silverado HD, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, Sierra HD, Cadillac Escalade, and Escalade ESV. The Problem: Affected vehicles have a sensing and diagnostic module that controls the airbags and seat-belt pretensioners. The software it uses has a defect that can prompt the module to run a diagnostic test under specific driving conditions, which will also deactivate the front airbags and pretensioners. This means that it would be possible for those safety systems to not activate in a crash, potentially leading to injury or death. Injuries/Deaths: General Motors began an investigation that led to the recall after a 2014 Silverado was involved in a crash in which the airbags did not deploy. No information was given as to injuries or deaths. The Fix: Owners can bring their vehicles to a local General Motors dealer where a software update will be installed to fix the issue. The fix will be free of charge. If you own one: General Motors will contact owners of affected cars, and owners can check whether their vehicles are affected by visiting entering their vehicle identification numbers at either the GM Owner Center website or the NHTSA website. Owners can then schedule a time to have the update installed. Related Video:
