Private Seller. I am Not a dealership or car lot. This is my daily-driven vehicle, Garage Kept vehicle. I have owned it for only 5 months and I'm being given a company vehicle and can no longer justify keeping it. Rather than let it depreciate in the garage, I'm going to take a loss and sell it. I have no issues with the Van at all.
Drives Well. Shifts smoothly. NO mechanical issues. No Rust. NO dents. The windowless feature is a 'Must-Have' for those who want an extra measure of security. People can not look in to see your tools or cargo. Extra Dark Factory Tint windows for added security. (Since it was factory installed, it is legal in all 50 states).
I purchased this vehicle 5 months ago. Prior to my ownership it was a AAA Roadside assistance vehicle along I-95 in North Carolina. Previous owner lost his AAA franchise and no longer needed the Transit Connect. It is wired for a flashing light bar, CB, and is even outfitted with a grill-mounted jump start connector.
Mechanical: Great Condition. VERY well maintained. Rear Brakes/ Rotors less than 5000 miles old. Driven 90% on highway it's entire life. Ice Cold AC. Everything works well. Had the alignment checked and tires rotated at last oil change (60k). Tires are a 50,000 tire, and have 7500 miles on them.
Appearance: A scratch on the bottom of the left cargo door. A few handprints on the cargo head liner, but overall cleaner than you'd expect for a 60,000 mile van. Non Smoking Vehicle.
Recently added:
I changed the factory cargo liner with a 'Bed Rug' Washable Cargo Liner- Padded liner that gives you a totally flat floor. No more grooves to grind your knees on. Very Clean. No oil or greasy items ever hauled on the new cargo liner.
Adrian Full Partition- Full Partition with side wings for extra security. No one can open the side door, and reach through to the front cab section. $400
Kurt Trailer Hitch- used for exterior hitch mounted platform for dirty items. Never towed a trailer with it. $200
Includes 1 extra spare tire.
Reason For Seling: I used it for a route delivery vehicle and now I'm being supplied with a company vehicle.

Poor headlights cause 40 cars to miss IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Mon, Aug 6 2018Over the past few months, we've noticed a number of cars and SUVs that have come incredibly close to earning one of the IIHS's highest accolades, the Top Safety Pick rating. They have great crash test scores and solid automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning systems. What trips them up is headlights. That got us wondering, how many vehicles are there that are coming up short because they don't have headlights that meet the organization's criteria for an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating. This is a revision made after 2017, a year in which headlights weren't factored in for this specific award. This is also why why some vehicles, such as the Ford F-150, might have had the award last year, but have lost it for this year. We reached out to someone at IIHS to find out. He responded with the following car models. Depending on how you count, a whopping 40 models crash well enough to receive the rating, but don't get it because their headlights are either "Poor" or "Marginal." We say depending on how you count because the IIHS actual counts truck body styles differently, and the Infiniti Q70 is a special case. Apparently the version of the Q70 that has good headlights doesn't have adequate forward collision prevention technology. And the one that has good forward collision tech doesn't have good enough headlights. We've provided the entire list of vehicles below in alphabetical order. Interestingly, it seems the Volkswagen Group is having the most difficulty providing good headlights with its otherwise safe cars. It had the most models on the list at 9 split between Audi and Volkswagen. GM is next in line with 7 models. It is worth noting again that though these vehicles have subpar headlights and don't quite earn Top Safety Pick awards, that doesn't mean they're unsafe. They all score well enough in crash testing and forward collision prevention that they would get the coveted award if the lights were better.
Here's what it's like to drive the very first Ford Mustang cop car
Thu, Jan 29 2015As we recently discovered, there's something different about driving a police car. That's true whether you're talking about a modern Dodge Charger Pursuit or, yes, the legendary Ford Mustang SSP. Former Autoblog staffer and current Road and Track web editor Zach Bowman discovered this when he shanghaied a 2015 Mustang GT and made the trip to Nashville, TN to drive the very first Mustang SSP police car. The two-tone, V8-powered prototype was delivered into the welcoming arms of the California Highway Patrol back in 1981 for evaluation. Bowman chatted up cop-car aficionado Mike Strinich, the prototype's current owner, and managed to score some seat time in the car, which provided a unique interesting contrast to the SSP's 435-horsepower junior. Head over to R&T for the complete read.
2015 Ford Mustang option prices gallop onto the web
Tue, 22 Apr 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang is one of the most anticipated cars of the year, despite the fact that production hasn't yet begun. What's a pony car fan to do? It turns out that Ford already has pricing and options information about the vehicle in its dealer ordering system. A few enterprising folks have snapped some pictures from it and have posted them online. You might not be able to drive your car yet, but you can at least see what it might cost.
At the moment, Ford appears to be splitting the Mustang into five models - 3.7-liter V6, 2.3-liter EcoBoost, GT with the 5.0-liter V8, 50th Anniversary and SVT. There are 10 available paint colors, 2 of which require an extra outlay. Triple Yellow is $495, and Ruby Red Tint is $395. Regardless of model, navigation goes for $795, and reverse parking assist is $295.
For both the EcoBoost and GT, the six-speed automatic tacks an extra $1,195 to the sticker, and adaptive cruise control is the same price. The GT also has a limited-slip 3.55 rear end for $395 and a GT Performance package for $2,495. Recaro leather seats add an extra $1,595. For the EcoBoost, there's something called EcoBoost Performance package for $1,995. The system doesn't say what the packages include.
