1976 Ford Torino 4dr. 28,979 Original Miles Awesome Car! on 2040-cars
Park Forest, Illinois, United States
Here is one of the cleanest, lowest mile 1976 Ford Torino 4dr Sedans in the country I'm pretty sure. Bought from the stereotypical little old lady in Ohio who owned it from brand new in 1976 till the Spring of 2013 when it was sold to the gentleman I bought it off several months later. Car still has a clean Ohio title. This Torino has an unbelievable 28,979 ORIGINAL miles on it and was garage kept it's entire life by the original owner and has been garage kept by me since the day I bought it and as you can see by my pictures, is still garage kept. Interior is green and is a 9.9 out of 10...like brand new also was never smoked in. Exterior was Ford Factory Light Yellow, I had it painted Ford Bright White, I bought the car with the intention of making it into a 1976 Sheriff's Police Patrol Vehicle from Cook County,Illinois. Even if I would have decided to just drive the car I would have had it painted anyway as I did not like that sickly yellow color.I did have the inside trunk done to the white color change but left the door jams yellow to do them myself and I have the extra paint to do them, saves about 1200.00 off of the paintjob which I had already spent 1500.00-didn't see the need to make it 2700.00 Due to family and work commitments I have no time to mess with this car(needs nothing but adding on the police equipment)for at least 2 years and I'd rather see it in the hands of someone who would appreciate it as much as I do. Car is basically a civilian Police Package car from the factory, having only A/C(blows cold but not ice cold-needs charging) Power Brakes and Power Steering, Factory am/fm and factory dog dish hubcaps. Remember this car has 28,979 original miles and runs like new. Before it was painted it had a very little surface rust on a few spots, mainly above the drivers rear wheel well(no rot, just surface rust) and a few road dings from rocks...those were done the right way then the car was painted professionally. Bodywork was done by the paintshop. This car has never been crashed. I have put less than 100 miles on this car since I owned it,only driving it to the paint shop and back(about 70 miles) and few dozen times around my block. I even had it trucked up to Illinois from Ohio. DO NOT miss out on this Torino if you love the big body 4dr's of the 70's...you may never see one with this low of miles and body condition again. Transportation is the buyers responsibility but I will help in any way I can. I have used a company called Direct Express(google for phone number) on 7 occasions since 1999 shipping cars to me or from my address. Direct Express is very dependable, always at least half of the price of larger shippers and does door to door service. I also have all of the antique Police Equipment should the buyer want want to convert it into an old Police Cruiser. I have the old lightbar, backseat cage,NOS Spotlight, and antique radios. Call me if interested in these to go with the car,or if new owner would just like the Spotlight to install on driver's door pillar to make it look like an old unmarked unit and drive like that I will gladly give it to you. Ford Focus refresh shots leak ahead of Geneva
Sun, 23 Feb 2014In case you haven't been paying attention, Ford has been gradually redesigning its lineup to sport a familiar face. The Aston Martin-inspired grille shape debuted on the Fusion and was soon applied to the Fiesta. Even the front end of the new Mustang takes its cues from the same, and we're sure other models will soon be made-over to fall in line. The next on the docket? The Focus.
Set to be unveiled in little over a week at the Geneva Motor Show, the revised Focus has leaked out a tad early, revealing a mild facelift that bears that same trapezoidal grille with horizontal slats. Along with the new grille, the headlights, lower fascia and hood appear to have been reshaped. Around back there appears to be a new rear bumper and taillights, but otherwise the shape remains largely the same as the current model.
Expect the updates to be applied to all bodystyles offered around the world, including the hatchback, wagon and sedan. The engine lineup is expected to carry over largely unchanged, though the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the C-Max Energi could port over to the revised Focus. Plus Ford seems to have taken the opportunity to spruce things up in the cabin some. Check it out in the image gallery above and watch this space for the official announcement as we pack our bags for Switzerland.
