Billings, Montana, United States
1974 FORD Gran Torino parts car or project car. Starsky & Hutch clone. * First off let me start with this car has a clear title but... The dash is out of another car, and the VIN tag on that dash does not match. body tags match title. Because of this reason it is being sold as a parts car only. You will get the Title I have but know this up front. This is a no motor or trans project car. Steering column is there but no not installed, There for its a pain to move & steer. There are 4 Starsky & Hutch 5 Slot rims with the car, Passenger rear rim is in the trunk. Missing original front seats. There is no back seat. There is rust in the Drivers side, Rocker panel needs replaced, 1/4 is patch able, Passenger side has patchable rust in door, 1/4 and fender. Please see photos. There are lots of hard to find parts on the car. I just restored my 1975 Starsky & Hutch clone last summer. Parts are just not available often. This car could be built or make several cars whole again. I can store the car for up to 30 days after auction end. I can help load with enough notice from transporter. (I do have a day job) Please ask any ???'s before bidding. Feel free to call with questions or to make a serious offer Gabriel @ Hot Rod Alley (406) 672-1207 |

Ford recalling 850,000 cars and SUVs for airbag issues
Fri, 26 Sep 2014Ford has announced a major recall of 850,000 vehicles from model years 2013 and 2014 due to a problem with the "restraints control module."
According to Ford, a short circuit could develop in the module, causing the airbag warning light to illuminate. In more severe cases, dependent on where the short develops, the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners may not work in the event of an accident. The problems can be more wide-ranging than that, too, as systems that rely on information from the control module, such as the stability control can be affected.
With 850,000 vehicles affected, it's no surprise that some of Ford's volume leaders are covered. That includes the Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans, as well as the incredibly recall-prone Escape and the C-Max MPV.

Are you a new Ford Mustang SVO? [w/video]
Fri, 16 May 2014When Ford announced that its 2015 Mustang would arrive with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, three letters came to mind: SVO. While Ford hasn't said a word regarding the rebirth of a Mustang SVO model, this latest set of spy shots shows us something very, very interesting. Allow us to explain.
The Mustang prototype in these photos looks very similar to the GT500 test cars we've spotted before - same bulging hood, aggressive front fascia and air vents aft of the front wheels. What's different, however, is around back. Have a look at the exhaust, and note that instead of the GT500's usual quad pipes, two of the exhaust outlets have been capped off.
Our spies point out that these exhaust outlets could be closed for some sort of emissions testing or another engineering reason, but it's also important to note that the engine and exhaust notes of this car sound completely different from earlier GT500 prototypes. We've got a video below that compares the two.
