Eden, Utah, United States

1966 Ford Thunderbird Landau Coupe. An original Q Code car with the 428 CI engine.  I purchased this Thunderbird from the original owner. The car comes with the original "Build Sheet"and a complete history in repair receipts.  The car came from the Ford Motor Company with the 428 4V engine and three speed automatic transmission. The original engine and transmission were recently (professionally) rebuilt.  All the work done to the Thunderbird is supported by receipts which come with the car. From the sequential rear turn signals to the completely rebuilt front suspension, the car runs and drives very well. The front and rear bumpers are completely unscratched and are not dented. The car is ready to drive anywhere.  I have a clear original Utah title and ownership can be easily transferred.  Other than the "tangerine" repaint, the car is completely original.  The original interior is in good condition, but shows some wear, but after 48 years it is in remarkable condition. The interior lights turn on when you open the doors and the swing-away steering wheel looks almost like new.  Please look closely at all of the photos. I want the new owner to know exactly what they are getting. I have 680 positive feedbacks on Ebay and I highly value my 100% positive feedback score.  If you have any questions about the car, I will gladly answer them.  This is a wonderful Thunderbird that could easily be a show car with a new paint job in the original factory blue color. The original Landau top is in good conditions and the seams are not split. If there are areas of the car you want me to photograph in more detail, please let me know.  The reserve on the car is well under the car's value. The power brakes, power steering, power windows, all work properly. All of the glass is in excellent condition. Two additional tires and rims are in the trunk.

I will assist the shipper you select and I will safely store the car until it is picked up.  I will gladly assist the shipper selected in shipping the car anywhere in the world.  Good luck bidding, and I hope this 1966 Thunderbird (Q Code) Landau Couple finds a good home.  I have two 1956 Ford F100 projects you can seen in the background of the photos, and I need to sell this car before the Utah winter arrives. If you are new to Ebay, please message me before bidding.  I want this to be a good straightforward auction.

Ford recalls select Explorer, E-Series vans

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Just a few days ago we brought you news that Ford had issued a recall on 28,000 units of the Edge crossover for problems related to the fuel line. But now the Blue Oval has issued recall notices on two more of its larger vehicles.
The first relates to the Explorer, 395 examples of which from the 2011 and 2012 model years were found to have problems with their steering systems if they underwent service after September 1, 2013. An apparent software glitch could lock the steering gear, preventing the driver from steering the vehicle and thereby increasing the risk of a crash. As a result, Ford dealers are being instructed to check their records to identify the problematic vehicles and bring them in to have the steering gear replaced. Details of the recall can be found in the PDF linked here.
The second problem revolves around E-Series vans that may develop bubbles in their windshields under hot temperatures. The decrease in visibility through the problematic windshield could - you guessed it - "increase the risk of a crash." As a result, Ford is calling in 4,532 units of the E-150, E-250, E-350 and E-450 vans built in the relatively short window between May 12 and May 26, 2011. Details of this recall can be found in the notice below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Ford GT successor to debut in Detroit and go racing

Thu, Dec 18 2014

Anticipation for all of the exciting reveals at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show just a few weeks away is building to a fever pitch, and rumors are mounting that Ford has a big surprise in store in the shape of a future performance halo model. Insider sources speaking to Autoweek claim the next Ford supercar is definitely going to be revealed at the Detroit show in early January. However, the model is not necessarily the next-generation Ford GT in terms of its name or design aesthetic. Instead, one of these people indicates that the new halo model might drop retro styling altogether. If the latest reports are to be believed, Ford's high-performance project goes beyond something to just grab headlines and rocket down the street. According to Autoweek, the automaker is also reportedly employing Chip Ganassi Racing to run a two-car racing effort in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship in 2016. That would allegedly include a trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans to race on the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40's win in 1966. The speculation goes that at least the racing version might use a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 for power. However, the motorsports part of the program may not be announced during the auto show reveal. Rumors about the new halo car from the Blue Oval and its racing intentions have been percolating for months. The company might have considered an LMP2 entry, but speculation popped up later about the production supercar. A more recent report suggested that Ford might show a new Shelby GT350R Mustang, a successor to the F-150 Raptor and next Ford GT in Detroit.

Ford names Lincoln chief as North American president following Nair's departure

Thu, Feb 22 2018

Ford announced yesterday that its North American president Raj Nair would no longer be working for the company due to "inappropriate behavior." As a result, the company needed fill that gaping vacancy. The new North American president and Ford Group vice president will be Kumar Galhotra, and his term in the new role will start on March 1. Galhotra will remain the group vice president and chief marketing officer for Lincoln through March, meaning he's the head of the luxury brand. He's had this position since 2014. Before that, he was vice president of engineering for all of Ford. With Galhotra's promotion, a number of internal promotions follow. Joy Falotico, current chairman, CEO and group vice president of Ford's credit division will fill Galhotra's position, and Dave McClelland, vice president of marketing for Ford Asia Pacific, will fill her role. Other shuffling at Ford includes Stewart Rawley's promotion to vice president for Ford North America and chief operating officer. He is the current vice president for strategy at Ford. Ford China's chairman and CEO John Lawler will take Rawley's old role, and Cathy O'Callaghan will take over Lawler's job at Ford China, but not until June 1. O'Callaghan is currently vice president, corporate controller and chief financial officer for global markets at Ford. Related Video:
