65 T-bird on 2040-cars

It's a 1965 T-BIRD I'm the second owner and purchased it from a dealer (BILL DELUCA AUTO SALES) in 1969. I operated the vehicle into the 80's. I took the t-bird to a body shop to be restored to original and after procrastinating and doing very little restoration for two years I retrieved the vehicle and used it till the early 90's. The T-BIRD has been garaged since and has not been started since then. Whoever wins the bid will have to haul it on a flat bed trailer. One of the rear brakes is locked. As you can see from the pictures it's in relatively good shape but does need restoration. I have all the parts plus extra parts. I had a new factory 390 HP motor installed in the 80's and there's approximately 25000 miles on the motor. I have 4 daughters and always wanted them to be able to use it for their proms but unfortunately it never happened. I was forced to list a mileage number but I'm not positive of the overall mileage. All the glass is in great shape except the windshield is cracked.

2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.

2014 Roush Stage 3 Mustang
Fri, 26 Jul 2013Up until now, it's been some years since I managed to get behind the wheel of the hot Mustangs tuned by the folks at Roush Performance. My memories of those vehicles are fond, as the Roush up-fits usually make for better-driving examples of the iconic Ford pony, with better-tuned suspensions, excellent short-shift kits and, of course, huge additions of power. The wake-your-neighbors aural characteristics of these cars have been nothing short of outstanding, too.
But in the years since my last experience with the Roush formula, Ford's own development team has churned out some pretty potent 'Stangs. We currently live in a world where the Blue Oval will sell you a Mustang with 662 horsepower from the factory, and the recently departed Boss 302 remains one of the best Mustangs - and best sports coupes - the Autoblog crew has ever driven.
So with great-driving and hugely powerful Mustangs coming straight off the line at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant, does the Roush package still offer that extra special something to make it stand out? I spent a week with a Stage 3 coupe to find out.
Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette
Wed, 17 Apr 2013We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.
