This is a rare opportunity for the car lover or collector and anyone wanting to own a truly classic automobile.

This 2005 Thunderbird was a special order and 1 of the last 1500 built. Each of the final 1500 were finished in the rare special paint color Cashmere Tri-Coat Metallic (option code 210A) and fitted with Light Stone Leather Bucket seats that truly exudes a classy and unique look to the vehicle.  Special wheels, grill and headrest are also unique to the last 1500 cars. Each vehicle is numbered with a Limited Edition ID badge, and this vehicle is car #461.

The 2005 was the most refined version of the new Thunderbird since its debuted in 2002. The 2005 had more power producing 280 hp. This vehicle is fully loaded and includes optional removable top, select shift transmission, Soft Boot and Full interior color accent package. This was a top of the line model that came standard with Heated seats, air, 6 disc CD with audiophile sound system and 17 inch chrome wheels and all other convenience options.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a timeless piece of History.  The newly styled Thunderbirds were built in limited production for just over a few years and is destined to be a classic. This car also can be an investment for the future as these Thunderbirds are increasing in value and becoming more rare every day. The 50th Anniversary Cashmere Tri-Coat T-birds rarely go up for sale and the miles and condition of this one make it one of the best you'll ever come across.

The hard top was removed at purchased and sits on the factory rack.   I have been the sole owner of the vehicle since I purchased from our local Ford dealer back in 2005. It has some of the lowest miles you will find on a Thunderbird, as well as being ultra clean.  It has been meticulously cared for and babied for the past decade, and was rarely driven as the low mileage can attest to.  In mint condition inside and out, it is truly a collector's item and something that will become even more iconic as the years pass.  Any questions feel free to ask!

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.

Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene

Tue, 13 May 2014

Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.

First Ford Mustang prototype shots caught by legendary spy shooter Jim Dunne

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

You know how people refer to someone as having "been around the block" to mean they're very experienced? Well, when it comes to automotive spy photography, Jim Dunne actually laid down the concrete slabs of the block's sidewalk. The unforgettable Dunne more or less invented the car spy game - a fact he cemented by writing book called Car Spy - and has been delivering spy shots and reporting on the industry for some 45 years now. (He also once employed this writer as his impromptu personal chauffer on a Volkswagen trip in Germany, while he slept, but that's a story for a different time.)
In any event, Dunne must be on a mission to prove that "elder statesman" doesn't also mean "washed up" as it is his shots of the upcoming new 2014 Ford Mustang that we've been handed by our friends at KGP Photography.
Mr. Dunne has likely spent the last few years obtaining powerful telescopic lenses, as the Ford in question has clearly been photographed from some distance. Nevertheless, what you see here is visual evidence that the sixth-generation Mustang has moved beyond the mule stage, and is now testing in proper prototype form. Sources indicate that there are production-spec body panels under that baggy canvass dress; but the slightly less bulky silhouette of the new car can be just made out. While the car's bumpers have been removed to obfuscate things, we can tell by way of the camo's apertures that the car's taillights have moved upwards and towards the lip of the tail. A fender vent appears to be visible, too, just behind the front wheel.
