2004 Ford Thunderbird on 2040-cars
Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States
I bought this car new in Albuquerque and have kept it garaged ever since. It is the premium edition with virtually every feature and option available on the car, all in excellent, working condition. The car has never been in any sort of accident, and has consistently given great service, with no repairs of any kind. The color, known as vintage mint green, is very eye-catching, and reminiscent of the color used by Thunderbird in 1956. The interior is the upgraded two-tone black and white leather, in excellent condition, with leather-stitched steering wheel, offset with white plastic in the steering wheel and shifter knob. Of course, it has both the port-hole hard top (with storage cradle) and black soft top, both with glass rear windows, all in excellent condition. The soft top raises and lowers automatically with the push of a button, very convenient. The car has less than 30,000 easy miles, all in the dry Southwest. If you need further details, call me at 505 235-8235, and I'll be happy to discuss this great car with you.

Toyota hangs on to title of world's largest automaker for first half of 2013
Fri, 26 Jul 2013General Motors and Ford can have all the success they please, but it doesn't seem like America's two largest manufacturers are going to topple Toyota in the first half of 2013. According to Reuters, Toyota moved 4.91 million vehicles in the first six months of 2013, representing a 1.1-percent drop from the same period in 2012.
GM is on the rise, though, with a four-percent increase in global sales, to 4.85 million. Volkswagen, still sitting in third, saw a 5.5-percent jump to 4.7 million vehicles in the first half of 2013.
If this pace continues for Toyota, it'll finish 2013 in the top sales spot for the second year in a row. The manufacturer fell to third, behind GM and VW, in 2011 after earthquakes and tsunamis ravaged its production capacity.
Which is more fuel efficient, driving with a pickup's tailgate up or down?
Tue, 26 Aug 2014
Thanks to the smoke wand in the wind tunnel, you can actually see the difference in our video.
Should you drive with your pickup truck's tailgate up or down? It's an age-old controversy that's divided drivers for decades. Traditionalists will swear you should leave the tailgate down. Makes sense, right? It would seem to let the air flow more cleanly over the body and through the bed. But there's also a school of thought that argues trucks are designed to look and operate in a specific manner, and modern design techniques can help channel the airflow properly. So don't mess with all of that: Leave the tailgate up.
Fitting Retirement: Grand Marquis last Mercury off the line
Wed, 05 Jan 2011The signs have come down and retail production ended back in October of 2010. Now, the very last Mercury model has rolled off the assembly line. This last Mercury somewhat fittingly takes the form of a Grand Marquis reporting for fleet duty. It was built at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canada, which is the same facility that continues to produce the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car for fleet and livery duty.
St. Thomas' days are numbered, however, as the factory is slated to close on August 31. When it goes, the Panther platform is likely to follow. So long, and thanks for all the fish memories.
