ONE OWNER Charcoal 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbocoupe, 5k miles on new Luk clutch, flywheel, rear main seal, front transmission shaft seal, Monroe performance shocks, transmission oil, rear brakes rotors, calipers, pads, power steering fluid change, Bridgestone Turanza LST rear 80k tires, belts, high performance MSD plug wires, spark plugs, electronic module, TPS sensor and more; 2k into it 5k ago. Synthetic Mobile One oil conversion at 45K. Has been a fast and fun great car; great MPG and is the last model year of the Turbocoupe; hard to find and now a classic. It is in good shape yet has been driven and I would restore it if I could; would be a sharp, sleek, eye catching coupe to put in original condition and would only increase in value; have original electronic dampened shocks to rebuild if wanted and other parts, extra rim. The pictures do not show that the clearcoat is gone on the top, partially on the hood, and some on bumpers; rest of paint is pretty good; chips here and there touched up. Watch the Hennessey Ford GT makes its record run at Texas Mile
Wed, 27 Mar 2013We said they'd probably be out with an official video, we did not lie. The Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT sat at one end of the runway at the Texas Mile sitting still. At the other end of the runway it had broken its own speed record, the twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8 pushing the aerodynamic supercar up to 267.6 miles per hour, a 4.3-mph improvement over the old mark.
There's not much in the video you haven't already seen, this just makes it official. That said, who doesn't want to see a twin-turbo Ford GT set an incredible speed record? You can watch it below.
Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right

This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.

Wed, 12 Dec 20122012 is almost in the books and automakers are spending December gearing up for the 2013 auto show season, which tips off next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Traditionally, the latter opens up with the announcement of the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards, and this year figures to be no different.
But up until this moment, we didn't know which six vehicles would be parked ahead of the stage as finalists, with executives and engineers waiting for the winners to be disclosed.
