Up for sale is a 1986 Thunderbird Turbo coupe. I believe it spent most of its life in Texas. It has no rust on the body and is beautiful underneath of it. The body mouldings look great not curled up. No rust by the back window where they held water at. I believe its original paint except for the 87-88 turbo coupe hood. I haven't found any paint lines and the color has a brown cast to it like my 88 Ranger with original paint looks. Usually repainted its a much darker black. Theres a couple very small dings and a couple touch up paint dobs. Original interior in very good shape. Fully loaded cruise controll, tilt wheel, air conditioning, cassette tape player power windows and locks that all work great. Slight fade on the outsides of the front seats none anywhere else. Stock radio with cassette tape player and speakers. This car hasn't been heavily modified or hacked up its a nice collector. Original unused spare tire looks amazing. The motor is mostly stock. Has uprades from 87-88 intercooler, computer, bigger VAM. Also has a nice header not a manifold. It has a full exhaust with magnaflow mufflers and and a converter it should pass emissions I don't have that here. The car gets 25+ mpg on the highway and descent in town if you stay out of the turbo. I drove it to the Grand Rod Run in Tennessee last year and it did great. Drives like new! This has to be the best riding fox chassis car they made. Soft but firm great cruising car. The rims are Saleen SC 17x9 front 17x10 on the back. They give it a really nice look. This is a really nice car been garaged and taken care of its whole life. The equivalent of a GT Mustang. Better built I think and much rarer. I think this is one of the nicest T-birds made. one of the smallest Thunderbirds that they made. It has nicer body lines than 87-88 and this has all 87-88's goodies. Also the nicer dash and instrument cluster came in the 85-88. I think the value may jump on these turbo coupes if Ford heads in the turbo four cylinder direction. The car has just under 98,000 miles. Which equals just over 3,000 miles per year. I put around 5,000 miles in the 3-4 years I have had it. The car is well worth the price. Its an extremely nice car. 27 years old its a survivor you can call me with any questions at 765-977-0091. I may deal a little but the price is pretty firm you need to see this car in person. Drive this car home or you can pay to have it shipped. Thanks for looking!

Ford announces bevy of recalls, 2 of which are recalls on recalls
Tue, 04 Nov 2014
Ford has announced five separate recalls, affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
Here's what the UAW will be angling for in next year's contract negotiations
Mon, Dec 15 2014The United Auto Workers union is about to enter a new round of negotiations with the Detroit Three automakers, and this time, the focus is on the end of the two-tier wage system. Introduced in 2007, the two-tier wage system was enacted to allow General Motors, Ford and Chrysler to categorize its hourly employees under two categories: Tier 1 for veteran employees with full rights and benefits, and Tier 2 for short-term or entry-level employees compensated under a different schedule. The idea was that the system would permit the automakers to invest more in their plants and hire new employees as part of their respective recovery plans without being saddled with all the costs associated with hiring full-time employees. Now that the automakers are (more or less) back on their proverbial feet, however, the UAW wants to see an end to the two-tier system, and will likely make that a center-point of its negotiations next year to replace the current arrangement that is scheduled to end in September 2015. Not all members of the UAW will necessarily be interested in ending the two-tier system, however. According to The Detroit News, some Tier 1 workers may be more interested in negotiating a raise in their hourly rate – something which they haven't received in almost a decade. Tier 2 workers, meanwhile, may be more motivated to keep the tiered system in place, as their arrangement includes provisions for profit-sharing payments that have seen the automakers pay out billions to so-called short-term employees in lump-sum payments. Reconciling the two competing demands from two categories of union members and presenting a united front in negotiations may prove the biggest challenge for the UAW's new president, Dennis Williams. And with the right to strike – something which was suspended during the last round of negotiations in 2011 – the union has a bigger bargaining chip in its pocket.
2015 Ford Mustang stars in bizarrely awesome '80s aerobics video
Wed, 30 Apr 2014For reasons we can't comprehend, here's a music video starring the all-new, 2015 Ford Mustang and a number of dancers dressed and styled in the most stereotypically 1980s way possible. The dancers then take part in a male-versus-female dance off. Again, we've no idea why it exists.
It's weird, and for the second time in two weeks, we're sat at our computer wondering, "What are we watching?" That said, it does show the new Mustang from a number of angles, and it's one of the first car-related YouTube videos we've seen that's available in a 4K, ultra-high-def stream.
