ALL LIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. HAS THE 351 WINDSOR THAT ACTUALLY GETS PRETTY GOOD GAS MILEAGE.
ALSO NEW IS A COMPLETE SET OF SHOCKS (MONROE) AND NEW DUAL EXHAUST (SOUND GREAT WITHOUT BEING TOO LOUD). SEE PICS. THE ONLY SPEC OF RUST I CAN FIND ON THIS CAR ANYWHERE IS A TAD BIT OF SURFACE RUST AROUND THE LEFT FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT. A COUPLE OF SMALL TEARS AT BASE OF DRIVER'S SEAT. DASH IS PERFECT. BEAUTIFUL CHROME. WORKING AM-FM 8 TRACK WITH UP GRADED SPEAKERS. EVEN THE FACTORY CLOCK STILL WORKS! AND SO YOU CAN ENJOY THIS CLASSIC IN STYLE, I'M EVEN BEA CASE (24) OF 8 TRACK TAPES, WHICH WILL INCLUDE ARTISTS SUCH AS VAN HALEN AND OTHERS. ALSO INCLUDED IS THE FACTORY RIMS WITH THE WIRE SPOKED WHEEL COVERS. THIS CAR RUNS GREAT. AC WORKS BUT DOESN'T BLOW COLD. DOES HAVE A LITTLE PLAY IN THE STEERING WHEEL, BUT THE FRONT END IS TIGHT! MY MECHANIC SAYS IT IS A STEERING COUPLER. BUT I WOULDN'T HESIATE TO DRIVE IT ANYWHERE. PAINT IS NOT AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS IN PICS, HAS SOME ROCK CHIPS, ETC. BUT LOOKS GREAT, ESPECIALLY 10-15 FOOT. I TRIED TO CAPTURE AS MUCH OF THAT AS I COULD IN THE PICS, SO PLEASE DON'T EXPECT A PERFECT CAR! ESPECIALLY FOR THIS PRICE. I RESERVE TO END AUCTION EARLY, AS CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY. A LOW RESERVE SO BE PREPARED TO BUY! A NON-REFUNDABLE $250.00 DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION END. YOUR BID IS A CONTRACT. PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING!

Ford Explorer Jackson Pollock Edition results in trip to hospital
Tue, 02 Jul 2013Among the many useful pieces of driving advice we've taken to heart over the years, "Safely secure all cargo" is etched pretty high on our personal stone tablets. We've had a couple of frustrating moments over the years (numerous wonky cupholders and too-tall lidded cups; a radar detector that released its suction cups and dashed itself below the dashboard, etc.), but never anything like the scene above.
These photos above come courtesy of the Washington State Patrol, and they show the unfortunate aftermath of a driver, his dog, and his Ford Explorer after it crashed near the town of Belfair last week. According to reports, the man was schlepping five-gallon containers of paint inside his vehicle when he was involved in an unexplained accident. It's not clear what triggered the crash, but the impromptu abstract painting covered the whole of the interior, including the driver and his faithful companion.
The man was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries, and his dog was cleaned and later taken to a humane society.
Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers
Thu, 12 Jun 2014For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.
Ford nets $5.7B in 2012, $1.6B in fourth quarter
Tue, 29 Jan 2013Ford brought in $5.7 billion in net income during 2012, which is around $307 million less than one year prior. Even so, the automaker closed out 2012 with the highest pre-tax profit for a single quarter in nearly 10 years, earning $1.7 billion in the fourth quarter thanks largely to a higher-than-average truck mix in the US. That's a jump of $577 million over 2011. Likewise, that translated into fourth quarter income of $1.6 billion. All told, Ford set a full-year pre-tax profit record in 2012. But that doesn't necessarily mean everything is rosy in the land of the Blue Oval.
Like every other manufacturer, 2012 saw Ford get hammered in the European Union, where a deep economic recession continues to drive down consumer confidence. The automaker lost more than $700 million in Europe, and saw full revenue of $26.6 billion in 2012. That's a decline of $7.2 billion compared to last yea. Ford says the market for new vehicles in Europe has contracted to 13.5 million units, the lowest number in 17 years. You can read the full press release below for more information.
