This 1968 t-bird with suicide doors is in excellent shape.  It has 90,800 actual, original miles.  The cloth interior is a dark navy blue and is spotless.  The front seat is a bench seat. The exterior is a cream color with a black vinyl top.  On the driver's door panel it says 8J87N147466   BODY 57C; COLOR M; TRIM 3A; DATE 26C; DSO 53; AXLE C; TRANS U. There a very few miles on the tires, although the tires have been on the car for a while.  The car was driven last week and everything worked properly.  There are a couple of small dings in two pieces of the chrome.  The only mechanical problem is a small transmission fluid leak.  No one has smoked in this vehicle.  The current owner is the 3rd owner of this car and purchased it around 1985.  He put the last 10,000 miles on the car and is selling it because he simply doesn't drive it enough to justify having it.

The car is located in Perham, Minnesota.  I am listing this for my buddy who lives there.  I sell on ebay and he doesn't therefore this is easier.  He gave me three pictures to use and I realize that most listings have more than that.  You can contact the owner directly at 574-528-0517 with your questions or email me and I will forward your questions to him.  He is a serious seller and this car is definitely for sale. Please note that there is not a reserve on this car, if it brings at least $7,995.00 it will sell.

The car needs to be picked up in Perham, Minnesota and you will need to bring cash, a certified check or money order at the time of pick up.

How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.

Saab-powered Ford is the most unlikely drift car we've seen

Tue, Jan 19 2016

Yes, you read that headline correctly. It's supposed to be a Saab-powered Ford, and not the other way around (although we fully support the notion of a Sonnet with a Flathead V8). Apparently, some lunatic in the UK took an ass-less 1953 Ford Anglia, paired it with a turbocharged Saab engine, and tuned the entire thing to go drifting. We like it. Called Urchfab, it's the subject of Carfection's (the blokes formerly known as XCar) latest video. Aside from looking like an extra from the British version of Mad Max, it has a problem with grip, in that there's just too much of it. This car is a fabber's dream, as we get to see its unnamed owner fashion new bits and bobs for the suspension before having an unfortunate encounter with a wall at Castle Combe. You can check out the full video up at the top of the page for a closer look at this monstrous Anglia. Related Video:

Ford acquires Livio to bolster connectivity biz

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Ford Motor Company has announced the acquisition of Livio, a Ferndale, MI-based software development company best known for aftermarket in-car connectivity devices, but also as a supplier of technology for proprietary systems for automakers. Livio, co-founded by Sigal and Massimo Baldini, will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Global Technologies.
"With the additional expertise Livio provides us, Ford intends to continue to lead the next generation of in-car connectivity with technology advancements that give consumers more options to access their devices on the go," said Paul Mascarenas, chief technical officer and vice president, Ford Research and Innovation, in a statement.
Ford is clearly trying to beef up its in-house tech capability around telematics and device connectivity. While the Blue Oval has been a leader in these areas with SYNC and MyFord Touch in terms of getting the systems into as many cars as possible, the execution of the applications have been criticized for glitches.
