This is a 65 thunderbird special landau. only 4500 made special edition in 65. The car has a broken leaf spring. The floor is rusted along with some rust damage to the rear fenderwells, there isn't an exhaust on it. I had the motor running once. The tires are flat and will not hold air. Has a cracked windshield but there is another good one in the trunk. car is for sale as is where is. buyer is to arrange shipping. will have to drag it onto a trailer or flat bed as it cannot be driven. I will be glad to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. I bought the car to fix up for myself but I have too many cars and projects. I tried to show all the problems in the photos. Deposit of 500$ is required within 24 hours of winning bid and full payment within 3 days of auction close.

J Mays' legacy
Fri, 15 Nov 2013
Mays is by far not the first designer to use heritage design cues in his work.
The announcement that J Mays will be leaving his chief creative officer role at Ford Motor Company on January 1 ends a 13-year run in one of the industry's top design roles. While best known for having a hand in reborn classics like the Volkswagen New Beetle, Ford Mustang and Thunderbird (above), Mays' legacy is more complicated and nuanced than being considered the father of what is known as "retrofuturism".

Autocar pits Formula Ford against Germany's finest
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Ford has quite the racing pedigree, but usually, its racers are relegated to the track. Not the new Formula Ford EcoBoost, though. It's a turbocharged, open-wheeled racer complete with a 200-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine... and it's legal on the roads of the UK.
That's stressed in this video from Autocar, with the mag going so far as to show the car's tax disc and license plates. Being a road-legal offering, it's tempting to see just how well an open-wheeler that delivers racecar-like performance while also netting over 100 miles per gallon (assume this is on the British cycle, for obvious reasons) stacks up against modern performance cars.
Autocar lined up the Formula Ford against an Audi R8 V10, a BMW M6 Gran Coupe and a Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in a number of situations to see which would come out on top. Take a look below for the full video.
