Up for sale is my 1965 Ford Thunderbird. The car does not have a motor and transmission in it right now. The original short block asym is in the trunk. Short block consists of the original 390 Block, painted and ready to be built, crank, rods, and pistons. I had planned on fixing this car up, but I just have too many other projects going on right now. The exterior of this car has great potential. It is super straight, and paint looks great in most areas, there are some spots that looks as if they were wet sanded. As far as I can tell this car is absolutely rust free, and everything looks, sounds, and feels solid. The interior on this car is beautiful. All the chrome trim, and buttons are in place. The headliner is in great shape. The driver seat has a tear, and seems like the foam has lost its cushion, and the floor does need carpet. Besides the driver seat rip, and the carpet, the interior is perfect! Even has the original 1965 Owners manual in the center console. Car is equipped with power windows, swing away steering wheel, power steering, A/C, and disc brakes. Whitewall tires are like new, and comes with 4 original hubcaps, and also 4 spyder caps with 15" beauty rings if you want more of a rat rod kinda look. Car has a clear title. I have another Ford 390 V8 (not original to this car) complete from oil pan to carburetor that can be negotiated ONLY if you are able to pick up in person, and access to a 3spd Cruise O Matic transmission. This car would make a killer cruiser! You don't see black on black very often, so don't let this easy project slip away. Ask any question you need.

Thanks

Peel and Ford Transit do a great Austin Powers impression

Tue, May 6 2014

It's no secret that the average fullsize cargo van is big. Like, really big. Expressing that size, though, without actually seeing the van in question, is a pretty tall order. When viewed from the right angle, even something as big as a cargo van can appear very small (look up forced perspective, to see what we mean). That's why it's always good to have a second object on hand, to provide a sense of scale. Ford took this simple idea to the extreme, illustrating the size of the new Ford Transit by pulling the world's smallest production car, the Peel P50, nose first into the van's 487-cubic-foot cargo area. That's no big deal, though, right? After all, at just 54 inches long and 39 inches wide, the Peel would fit quite happily in even the smallest fullsize truck bed. Ford takes it a step further, though. With the help of an actual reverse gear (we're guessing this is a CVT-equipped, electric model), the P50 manages to turn itself around and drive out. It does this in less than two minutes. So yeah, the Ford Transit is a pretty big van. Take a look below for the video from Ford. This content is hosted by a third party. 2014 Ford Fiesta gets fuel economy bump to 41 mpg

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

The 2014 Ford Fiesta is in showrooms now with refreshed styling and new performance ST model, but it's what isn't yet available that should help the Fiesta stand out from the growing crowd of subcompacts. Aside from the new 1.0-liter EcoBoost model coming later this year, Ford recently told us that a new Fiesta SFE trim level is on the way that should put the updated Fiesta at the top of its class for fuel economy.
The new Fiesta SFE will hit an estimated 41 miles per gallon on the highway when equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission. The current listing on fueleconomy.gov shows the 2014 Fiesta getting up to 29 mpg city and 39 highway, but the SFE will get minor aero tuning and a recalibrated engine controller to help bump the highway figure past rivals like the Chevrolet Sonic and Nissan Versa - both of which top out at 40-mpg highway. There's still no word as to when the small 1.0-liter EcoBoost will show in the US, but Ford has indicated that engine's fuel economy isn't expected to be released until October.

Ford to add more than 2,000 jobs in Kansas City

Thu, 02 May 2013

Continued high demand for the Ford F-150, along with the addition of the all-new Transit series of commercial vehicles, has led Ford to announce that it will add over 2,000 jobs at its Kansas City Assembly Plant. At the time of the announcement, the plant boasts 2,450 hourly employees working on two shifts. All told, Ford will invest $1.1 billion in the Kansas City plant to expand truck production and begin producing the Transit series.
According to the automaker, fullsize truck sales are up 19 percent through April of 2013, leading to an additional 900 workers and a third shift of production for the F-150. Production of the Transit series will begin in the fourth quarter of this year, requiring an additional 1,100 workers. In addition, Ford estimates that a total of 18,000 jobs will be created by suppliers to its Kansas City plant to support the additional vehicle production.
