1961 tbird. We lost our home to a fire and due to our bank allowing the insurance company to close our loan with only cash value policy we have been left to rebuild mostly by our weekly paycheck. We have two young boys who told us they just wanted their home back for Christmas, so I'm selling everything I have left to try and make that happen.

Your help is appreciated more than you will ever know. God Bless.

If your a local, Licensed electrician or plumber we are in need of your services for roughing in. Please email your contact info. We can barter.

I will be adding details about car tonight, I'm trying to get it listed before it gets to late so check back in the morning for car details. Thank you. FULL DETAILS 1961 Thunderbird with rebuild 302 and tranny.  New exhaust, new wiring harness, new fuel tank.  Car was stripped and fully epoxy coated in engine compartment, interior floor pans and firewall, trunk, undercarriage. ENGINE We just installed a new distro with internal module and electronic advance.  Its small and very clean, only three wires!  Really clean up the engine compartment.  New brake booster, chrome, was just installed as well.  Essential wiring to coil, distro, starter, battery are all run from the new wiring harness.  Also the wires going to other areas are run to that area and ready to be terminated at those points, very easy and the booklet that came with wiring harness is included as are the zip ties, headlight terminals, and other various parts.  Fuel pump is hooked up as well.  Car will start up and runs great, may need fine tuned with timing at some point as it was done all by ear and not a timing light.  Will self load on a trailer! INTERIOR Original interior is in good shape for the most part.  Back seat is stiff, it will need redone at some point.  Dash was stripped as we normally paint our dashes, so it can be finished as a painted dash or have it recovered, your choice.  The old radio hole was modified and welded to fit a modern cd player.  New wiring harness fuse box is mounter and key switch is wired to start from key.  No other dash items are wired but the wiring is routed and ready for termination at its destination. BRAKES Brakes were done a while back but i decided to upgrade to disk conversion on front.  The $650 kit is still in the box brand new ready to install.  It requires a proportioning valve to complete the installation. BODY & PAINT Body work and paint was done before I purchased the car but was done very well in my opinion.  However, we noticed that the hood did not close good because it hit the air cleaner.  We have added a larger scoop and blended it to hood.  It needs a putty cote and primer to be paint ready.  Original owner went all blue, we were going to shoot the top half of entire car in black..included is enough PPG paint to paint and clear the entire top black. Trunk, Roof, Hood, tops of doors…everything above upper chrome trim is what i consider top of car.  There are a few spots on bottom that look like rust, but it is not.  The original owner sprayed about 4 inches of bottom with a rock guard before painted that to match car color, however if any of you have sprayed this stuff sometimes it clumps up.  Instead of fixing it at that time they painted over it.  To be sure I was right I did scrape off a spot and revealed I was correct.  Any local paint shop can match paint and give you a can of touch up to repair that spot and any other small scratches that may be here or there.  Its not a show car but looks very good to the average person.  Only a paint and body guy is going to pick it apart. WHEELS/TIRES The wheels and tires are used but in good shape.  The tires don't go flat and have decent tread left.  Rims have a few road rash spots but mother major.  They are offset with spacers to fit properly. I think that about covers it.  If you have questions feel free to email me and I can give you my number if you want to talk.  I am very honest and want you to know what your getting so please call and question everything!  I can type all day, talking is always a better way to explain detail on cars.  If your local your welcome to come check it out.  Im working on my house so I'm always home. Thank you all for looking and God Bless ya!

Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with

Mon, 12 May 2014

Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.

Mustang pinball game will feature art by Ford GT designer

Fri, 13 Dec 2013

To celebrate 50 years of Mustang, Ford and Stern Pinball are collaborating on a new pinball machine that will feature the muscle car in all its glory, Polygon reports. Even better, Camilo Pardo, the guy who designed the Ford GT, will provide art for the table; Tanner Foust, Top Gear USA host and professional driver, will handle narrating duties; and a Sony Music soundtrack spanning five decades will provide the tunes.
"The Mustang is one of the most iconic, American cars ever made... What better way to celebrate 50 years of Mustang than with the launch of the Ford Mustang pinball game?" says Stern Pinball CEO Gary Stern.
Watch the promotional trailer for the upcoming Mustang pinball machine below, which will have to hold you over until pricing and availability are announced in early 2014.

Ford reflects on radical Mustang concept that never reached showrooms

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

The Ford Mustang that we all know and love made major waves in the auto industry way back in 1964 by offering style and reasonable pricing with optional V8 power. Its long hood and short rear deck, combined with a low-slung and sporty cockpit, made a lasting impression in the minds of consumers and car designers alike, and its basic shape has so endured the test of time that it's still in use today.
This being the case, you may be interested to know that the first Mustang of 1964.5 wasn't actually the first Mustang at all, being preceded by a concept car that made its public debut in 1962. This concept was nothing like the car that would eventually make it into production, with a radical wedge shape and a small V4 engine sitting behind the car's two occupants, driving the rear wheels. In other words, the conceptual Mustang was pretty much the complete opposite of the production Mustang besides the name.
Ford has kindly decided go through its massive archive to bring the original Mustang concept back into the public eye. The company goes so far as to pose this question to fans of the pony car: "Should we borrow a few of these style elements for the next iteration of the Mustang?"
