I bought This car back in October off a Lady that was the Original owners Daughter. She told me it was her Moms car & she hardly ever drove it back in the day. They always went out in Dads cars. And that over 20 years ago she had gotten tired off the all White paint so seeing it still had low miles on it they had it repainted to Red instead of getting her a new one. The Car was stored in a Dry Heated Garage for Many of years in North Carolina until Daughter got it back in 06 & Brought it back to Michigan. It sat until 09 when she decided to drive it. She put new tires on it,New Brakes all the way around including new Power Brake Booster,Brake Drums,Wheel Cylinders, New Battery Last Summer. And since I've had it, I put New Rebuilt Factory Carb for 61 390,New Fuel pump,New Filters,Cap,Rotor & Wires & New Hoses.Front Head lights And Comes with a Car Cover Made for 61-63 T-Birds.

Im Only selling it cause its Tax time & could use the Extra money Back

The Car has Rust on the Hood Only as you see in pic.Kinda weird that is the only rust on car.The rest of car is Super solid.Solid Frame rails, floors all Original Metal. The Original Red on Red Vinyl Interior is in Very Good Condition. Could use Paint touch up's  & new carpet but Paint & carpet is good for a Driver. Paint has some scratches. All glass is good no scratches or chips. all Trim is there & in excellent condition. All Iights including Head light High & low Beam, Brake, turn signal & Back up lights all work. Its an A/C Car & Not Sure if it works. Was Told That Belt was disconnected back in the day to save gas.The Car was Built in Wixom Michigan on June 20th 1961.

First retail 2015 Ford Mustang headed to Barrett-Jackson

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Want to be the very first person to own a 2015 Ford Mustang GT? Here's what you'll need to do: be in Scottsdale, AZ on January 18 for the Barrett-Jackson auction and bring a very big checkbook. Having a passion for charity isn't a bad idea either.
Yes, the first 2015 Mustang to be sold to the public will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, with proceeds from the auction going to JDRF, the charity formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
"Ford Mustangs have always been among the most popular collector cars at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car events," said the president of Barrett-Jackson, Steve Davis. "While every collector wishes they had snapped up the first Mustang sold in 1964, this is an opportunity to realize that dream in a different way."

Blue Oval's new Cargo cab-over rig is largest "One Ford" initiative yet

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The imposing commercial truck above has a feature that might be surprising to most Autoblog readers - a Blue Oval emblem on the front. Here in North America, Ford simply doesn't play in the eighteen-wheeler sandbox, but that doesn't mean that the Dearborn-based automaker is absent in the heavy hauling space in other parts of the globe. In fact, Ford presently fields two completely different big rig ranges under the Cargo moniker - one a product of an Eastern Europe/Turkey joint venture, and another from Brazil. But that's about to start changing with the advent of this new cab-over model seen here.
Unveiled in São Paulo, Brazil, this new generation of Cargo is perhaps the largest physical embodiment of CEO Alan Mulally's "One Ford" global streamlining strategy. Instead of multiple models, company engineers have developed a new single truck that it says will better meet the needs of truckers in all markets. Designed to compete in what's known as the "extra heavy-duty segment" elsewhere in the world, this Cargo was developed jointly by Ford engineering teams in Brazil, Turkey and Europe.
Specifics remain hard to come by (read: unreleased), but Ford is promising an all-new engine enabling hauling capability of up to 56 tons while still returning excellent fuel economy. Ford's global Cargo lineup will henceforth consist of a dozen models, but Ford tells Autoblog has no plans to bring this hot and heavy-duty action to North America.

1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.
