Maintenance History:
Car has been perfectly maintained since complete restoration
Condition:
Overall this car is nearly perfect. This is a restored California rust free car its whole life, until recently
relocated to Las Vegas. We are believed to be the 3rd owner. Car has won numerous best of show
and people choice awards. We regret to sell the car but in 2 1/2 years have only driven 870 miles
to and from car shows. The 2 previous owners have driven less than 1,500 miles in the last nearly
8 years. I believe this to be one of the nicest 1960 Thunderbirds in the country. Attached photos
will verify this.
Exterior paint is of the highest quality show finish anywhere. It is a beautiful dark pearlescent green
base coat clear coat. Front of car is covered in 3M clear bra to protect the finish.
Chrome is beautiful.
Interior is believed to be reupholstered in factory black/white vinyl.Dash pad is new and perfect
condition. Headliner and door panels are perfect along with complete interior
All instruments work as new, 4 new seat belts, AM/FM cassette player
All power windows work, rear windows need adjustment (new steel rollers included).
Although not documented, 352 ci engine, automatic transmission, and rear end appear to be
rebuilt. I would drive this vehicle anywhere anytime.
New edelbrock carburetor and manifold, pertronix distributor, coil, and ignition wires and spark
plugs
Front and rear suspensions appears to be completely overhauled with new ball joints, linkages,
springs, shocks, bushings, rear spring bushings and drive shaft with u-joints.

Ford of Europe celebrates Mondeo's 20th anniversary

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Ford's European operations are celebrating a milestone of sorts as the Mondeo, the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter D-segment sedan in the old country, celebrates its 20th anniversary. The mid-sizer, which was sold in the US for a short time as the Contour, has been a far more popular vehicle in Europe - even receiving regular praise from one Jeremy Clarkson.
Narrated by Cockney actor Ray Winstone, the video goes through the Mondeo's years and how it's evolved from 1993 to the as-yet-unreleased fifth-generation model, which is essentially the same as the Ford Fusion that's sold in America. Take a look below for the full video from Ford of Europe.

This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like

Sat, 12 Oct 2013

Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.

Radical RXC is a Mustang-hearted racecar for the road

Fri, May 30 2014

Radical has been building fantastic open-cockpit racers and roadcars for years, for the track day enthusiast who wants a vehicle that looks like it could show up for a start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company's latest creation is the RXC, and while this coupe looks like a prototype racer, it's road legal in the UK and in some parts of the US. When testing a car this, um, radical, the first thought is likely to get it to the track for some big slides and wide open acceleration, but XCar Films takes the opposite approach in its latest video to learn how this racer fares on public roads. The version tested here is the standard RXC with the 3.7-liter V6 out of the Ford Mustang tuned to 350 horsepower with a seven-speed sequential gearbox; but Radical also offers the same engine with 380-hp, a 454-hp Ford EcoBoost 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, or even a 500-hp V8. Even in the most basic guise, it's a handful to control in the wet, if this video is any indication. The cliche of a road-legal racecar is bandied around a lot in the motoring world, but it truly applies to the RXC. The only problem with seeing the RXC exclusively on the road is that it can never really open up and show its full potential. This racer is indeed chomping at the bit to rocket off into the horizon, but all those pesky road safety laws hold it back. Still, the video is a chance to get a better impression about this thoroughbred sports car. Scroll down to check it out. This content is hosted by a third party.
