1957 Ford Thunderbird Pink Both Tops Orginal 40,855 Actual Miles Gaugus Read On. on 2040-cars
Haleyville, Alabama, United States
This is the best example of a 57 T-Bird that I have seen without having gone through a complete restoration. This Bird is like original on the outside and inside, except for a couple of spots where the paint had some small flaws and was repainted. Absolutely like new Floor Pans/Panels/Hood/Trunk Lid/etc. Chrome/Stainless is very good, as is all the original Glass. The Convertible top is not pictured, but is on the car. The canvass and rear glass needs replacing..........Car has Both Tops! Car has never been rained on or washed in last 37 years, always garage kept with heat in the winter and fans in the summer.......... The Chasis was completely restored with everything new or rebuilt. Engine was completely refreshed with new gaskets/seals/valve job.carb rebuild/new hoses/fuel pump/belts/etc. The Car runs and drives as new, and can be driven anywhere........Fly in and get it, we'll pick you up at the airport...........OR come see the car and drive it before bidding.........
On Nov-03-13 at 07:17:58 PST, seller added the following information:The car has Original Fender Skirts, which come with it.......all new exhaust system....everything on the rolling chasis is either new or rebuilt......body has been cleaned and repainted underneath...... |

Autoblog Podcast #317:
Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft
Tue, 07 Jan 2014In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.
Watch the Hennessey Ford GT makes its record run at Texas Mile
Wed, 27 Mar 2013We said they'd probably be out with an official video, we did not lie. The Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT sat at one end of the runway at the Texas Mile sitting still. At the other end of the runway it had broken its own speed record, the twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8 pushing the aerodynamic supercar up to 267.6 miles per hour, a 4.3-mph improvement over the old mark.
There's not much in the video you haven't already seen, this just makes it official. That said, who doesn't want to see a twin-turbo Ford GT set an incredible speed record? You can watch it below.
