We proudly present this California fourth owner '57 Thunderbird. The previous owner was a meticulous Baby Bird fanatic who had the car for 23 years.The car has a new grey soft top with powder coated frame and bows, restored white porthole hard top, power steering, telescopic steering wheel and A/C. The power brake assist has been removed and it has been upgraded with a disc brake kit on the front. The car stops straight and without effort or pulling. This is a factory correct rare Gunmetal Grey car. It has had a Sanden SD-507 A/C unit (which blows very cold) added. It has had the following repaired or replaced, mufflers, exhaust system, fuel system, shocks and sway bar, rear brakes completely rebuilt, complete cooling system overhaul including new radiator and heads redone with hardened seats. the paint is extemely good with plenty of shine and reflection. the chrome and all bright work are very nice and all the gauges, lights (including interior, turn signals and dash lights), tachometer, radio and clock work. we have receipts back to 1988 including the original bill of sale. this Bird looks spectacular, drives great and has just the "look" when you see it.

Ford hiring 2,200 salaried US workers this year
Fri, 11 Jan 2013With its influx of popular new products made in the US, Ford Motor Company has announced that it intends to hire 2,200 new salaried workers domestically this year. This is the biggest increase of salaried workers for Ford in the last 10 years, and it is all a part of Ford's contract commitment to the United Auto Workers union to bring 12,000 new jobs to the US by 2015.
There were no specifics as to where in the US these job openings will be, but Ford did reiterate that it will be spending $773 million on equipment upgrades and capacity expansion at six plants located in southeast Michigan; as a whole, Ford is investing a total of $6.2 billion to its US assembly plants over the next couple years. According to recently appointed president of the Americas Joe Hinrichs, the new jobs will be focused on areas such as engineering, manufacturing and computer software. Ford will post its job openings online at careers.ford.com, and it will also use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to recruit new workers, including military veterans.

At this point, he has a career of showing up around the world to do vehicular stunts, and he's still able to go racing as well. It's a pretty sweet niche to carve out. Recently, Block was in Barbados to participate in Top Gear Live and the first event of the Global Rallycross Championship season, and Ford Racing produced a short video to show off his exploits.
It looked like a great show. Block got to race Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes-Benz Formula One car and had a very weird crash during a Rallycross race that put his Ford Fiesta on its roof. Top Gear also released an extended look at Block and Hamilton's spectacle with the two of them expertly sliding around. There was a time not so long ago when opting for a base Ford Mustang meant getting little more than some sheetmetal, an anemic four-cylinder engine and what may very well have been the world's most disappointing automatic transmission. During the Fox Body years, Ford seemed hell-bent on living up to Carroll Shelby's derogatory description of the coupe as little more than a runabout for demure office assistants, and the result was a base model with fewer sporting intentions than a Dilbert day calendar.
Some 20 years later, hopping behind the wheel of an entry-level pony is an entirely different experience. With all of the menacing aesthetics of the brawnier GT, a well-equipped interior and a drivetrain that toes the line between efficiency and power better than few before it, the 2013 Ford Mustang V6 is an attractive option for buyers in the big coupe market. But is it attractive enough to forgo the beastly GT?
