WOW ! WOW ! & WOW AGAIN !!!
Check out this " truly wonderfull" car. So many times you will see a car advertized as "low mileage" , "survivor", or other buzz words
describing it. But more times than not, it turns out to be a car that although it may have low miles etc., A lot of restoration is needed
or was done before the car could live up to the description given in the ad. Sometimes, it's just a lie !.
NOT HERE!. Let me tell you about this car. This was a one owner car from the time it was new until the owner passed away and
i purchased it from the family just about two years ago. I was told that the car was garage kept since new and never exposed to bad weather
and i believe it!. You will too when you see it in person. It is a rust and corrosion free automobile !.
It is "COMPLETELY" original .) and it is in just about as close to " original new" condition as i could imagine a car to
be !. It has 32700 documented miles on it Great service records along with the original bill of sale and " protecto- plate."
It's really quite amazing .When you look at things like the carpet, the headliner, the fabric on the seats, etc.
you can't help but wonder how someone was able to maintain a car in this condition for so many years.
Here are some details.
_____________________________EXTERIOR_______________________________________________________________
As i hope you can see in the photos, the body on the car is as straight as an arrow. the dark blue paint is clear&bright with
only a " very few", very minor", surface scratches hardly worth noting but i don't want to leave anything out.
The chrome bumpers as well as the the grill and all the exterior bright work including the wheel covers are like new Even the rubber
bumper guards are in great shape.
There is however , a very small dent in the aluminum fender trim on the rear passenger side. I think that it rubbed something in the garage.
It is very insugnifficant. The White vinyl top is perfect condition. All of the glass is in great condition including the windshield, side and rear
glass and side mirror glass. The headlights, taillights, parking lights, emblems, etc. are all in perfect condition. Open the door s and check
out the sill plates and hinges as well as the paint etc.
____________________________INTERIOR_______________________________________________________________
You know the old saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" ? well take a very close look a the photos of the interior.
and remember "It's all original !". The headliner looks like it's a day old. The seat covers don't show any wear and when
you sit down on them, you feel like you are in a new car. a new car. The carpet looks like no one ever stepped on it. The arm
rests are in perfect condition as are the door panels. All the interior brightwork ( door handles, trim, etc.) is like new.
The dash is the same ( like new). All of the guages work. The dash glass is clear & bright but as you may expect, the clock doesn't
work !. I wonder why the clocks never seem to work in older cars.?.
_______________________________MECHANICAL________________________________________________________-
The 351M/400 motor runs perfectly and even gets good gas mileage. The car is equipped with power steering that steers effortlessly.
power brakes that stop on a dime and an automatic transmisson that shifts smoothly and doesn't leak. It even has air conditioning
that blows "ice cold". The tires are brand new. The original radio still works and there are remote control right & left side exterior mirrors .
The car sits straight and level on the tight and solid suspension. No rust under the car. The exhaust system is good.
The front end, brakes, steering and electrical system are all good. No problems anywhere !!!.
The car has been "Zebart" and" Hercules" rust proof protected from new".

Ford EcoBoost smashes records at Daytona
Thu, 10 Oct 2013Some mighty machines have lapped the banks of the Daytona International Speedway over the years: thunderous V8-powered stock cars, Le Mans-conquering Group C prototypes, open-wheel Champ Cars, knee-dragging superbikes... heck, the infield lake has even hosted powerboat racing. But this - this is the fastest car ever to lap the legendary raceway.
What you're looking at is the new Daytona Prototype being prepared by Riley Technologies for the new United SportsCar Championship. The car, released just last week, is powered by a new 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 from Ford's EcoBoost family, and just obliterated the top speed at the track with a blistering 222.971 miles per hour through the traps.
That's enough to annihilate the previous record that was set, also under Ford power, by Bill Elliott while placing his Thunderbird on pole for the 1987 Daytona 500 that he would go on to win. His 210.364 mph record had stood for 26 years until now.
Introducing the 1965 Ford Mustang
Sat, 24 Aug 2013Put on your space suits and diving bell helmets, for it's time to step into a time capsule. The 50th anniversary of a historic model, like, say, the Porsche 911 this year, is certain to bring flights of nostalgia. This historical trip with the 1965 Mustang, though - preliminary hype for next year's anniversary, we know - is a swell museum exhibit for anyone who enjoys bygone days of the automobile.
Lee Iaccoca gave a speech to motoring journalists on April 1, 1964 at the New York World's Fair to introduce a sporty car for younger drivers. His opening line: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to one of the proudest moments of our lives." The company was so excited by what it had made that the Mustang was Ford's first "International Press Introduction," being introduced to some 2,000 journos around the world on the same day in the US and 11 European cities. Even through its difficult points, no one at the time could have known how well the Mustang would acquit that pride.
After the intro, the press drove Mustangs 750 miles from New York to Dearborn, MI, reading press kits that touted features like the "vertical, three-sectional taillights/turn signals," "170" six-cylinder engine with 101 horsepower and the available Cruise-O-Matic transmission.
What car should James Robertson buy to drive his famous 21-mile commute?
Thu, Feb 5 2015The Internet has been abuzz this week with the story of Detroit resident James Robertson, the 56-year-old factory worker who has walked some 21 miles to work for the last 10 years. The Detroit Free Press brought Robertson's story to the fore, helping an online fundraising campaign to generate more than $275,000 (as of this writing). The original goal was just $5,000, or about enough to replace the used Honda that died on Robertson back in 2005, and left him walking. So, newly flush with funds, what's the perfect car for Robertson to buy? Let's look at the specifics of his situation, and try to pick out the best options. Here's what we know: Robertson's commute is (famously) 21 miles; he lives in downtown Detroit (for now) and seems pretty humble, so something very flashy is probably out; former Honda aside, his ties to the city (and statements about being a Ford fan) seem to indicate a Detroit Three company product is best; he's a single guy with a girlfriend; he's got to deal with Michigan weather, and the sometimes fickle snow removal processes in The D. Here are some choices: Ford F-150 Robertson is on record as being a Taurus fan, and after a decade of walking I've no doubt that the big sedan would offer a cozy respite. Still, as a car guy and a student of the industry, I'd have a hard time recommending a sedan so clearly in need of replacement. Especially when The Blue Oval has such great stuff within the rest of its roster. The 2015 F-150 seems almost perfect for Robertson. Opting for either of the new EcoBoost V6 engines should help keep fuel bills in reasonable check, while healthy ride height and four-wheel drive will get him to work on time even during the snowiest of snow days. Better still, with a fat options sheet and car-like ride quality, Robertson can have just about every amenity he might want, in a package that won't disrespect his blue-collar roots. Chevrolet Colorado You guys saw this one coming, right? The smaller footprint of the midsize Chevy pickup, relative to some of the other options here, should be an advantage for urban parking and driving. And again, 4x4 is an option for the nasty weather, the running costs should stay pretty low and there aren't many tech/luxury features that can't be had in-cabin. I'd go ahead and splash out on the Crew Cab bodystyle, too, just in case Robertson feels like starting a carpool.
