2012 Ford Taurus SHO Ecoboost AWD GTDI 3.5L Twin Turbo. White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat (Pearl) with Charcoal Black Umber Leather interior. Car currently has 15380 miles. As seen in the picture the car is in perfect condition. It drives straight, pulls and stops hard. The car is in the top trim level with the optional 3.5 Twin turbocharged engine. 6-speed selectshift automatic transmission. All of the car's technical systems work - no warnings on the cluster, check engine lights, airbag lights etc. Car will come with a set of weather mats, two sets of keys and original owner's books. Thu, 22 May 2014Regardless of what you think of his skill as a racer, Ken Block is an expert showman. At this point, he has a career of showing up around the world to do vehicular stunts, and he's still able to go racing as well. It's a pretty sweet niche to carve out. Recently, Block was in Barbados to participate in Top Gear Live and the first event of the Global Rallycross Championship season, and Ford Racing produced a short video to show off his exploits.
It looked like a great show. Block got to race Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes-Benz Formula One car and had a very weird crash during a Rallycross race that put his Ford Fiesta on its roof. Top Gear also released an extended look at Block and Hamilton's spectacle with the two of them expertly sliding around. NHTSA investigating Ford Fiesta for faulty door latches
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary investigation on the 2011-2013 Ford Fiesta because the regulator has received 61 complaints from drivers, including one claim of an injury, about the doors on the subcompacts failing to latch and sometimes even flying open while driving. NHTSA has estimated that the problem could affect as many as 205,000 vehicles.
NHTSA is still gathering further data about the problem, but looking at the complaints so far, both front and rear doors appear to be potentially involved with the alleged failures. Among the reports, there are 12 claiming that the door opened while driving. Several also indicate the "Door Ajar" warning illuminating during this problem. The one purported injury happened when someone attempted to shut the door, and it bounced back.
Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker told Autoblog via email, "We are cooperating with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." Scroll down to read the report from NHTSA.
