2005 Ford Taurus Se V6 Automatic Fwd Sedan In Los Angeles California on 2040-cars
Canyon Country, California, United States
This auction is for a very nice used 2005 Ford Taurus SE.
This car was bought used in 2005 with only 2700 miles on it by my then 80 year old father. The car now has less than 34,000 miles on it. Almost Like New Condition! My father just drove it around town to the store and back. I think he took it twice to Las Vegas from Los Angeles. This car spent most of it's life in the garage and because of this, the paint and interior is in near excellent condition. Like they say, the best used cars are old people's cars since they drive with care, and slow, their cars usually have low miles like this one and look great! They are also well taken care of. This car had it's oil changed every 5000 miles. The car is clean as you can see in the photos. It has some hard to see dents on the passenger door which I tried to photograph, but other than that, the car has never been in an accident. See photos. Car runs excellent. Everything on this car works. AM-FM - CD radio Air conditioning Driver information center for trip miles, MPG etc. Tires are good too. Remote keyless entry locks Spare Tire and Jack Back seats fold down so you can load long items that occupy the trunk and back seat space. See photos. A very clean machine as you can see. Oh, and did I tell you this is a SMOKE FREE car! Any questions let me know. Car is located in Canyon Country California just North of Downtown Los Angeles. This is a pick up only sale. If you want it shipped, you must make arrangements. I will drive it to a shipper of your choice or the shipper can pick it up at the house. There is no warranty with this sale, but be assured, it is a fine car with NO Problems. I am only selling it because I have 5 cars and don't need another one. See my ebay 100% positive rating. I have an electrical / mechanical background and check out everything before I sell. I never sell junk! |

eBay Find of the Day: 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra prototype
Wed, 08 May 2013Over the last decade or so, competition in NASCAR has led to some pretty funky looking racecars. And when the sport was still up and coming, the tight competition actually led to some interesting production cars. The Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird are perhaps the most well-known cars of the sport's "aero wars" era but the Ford Torino King Cobra might have been the most memorable of all, if not for some different homologation rules established in 1970. The Torino King Cobra never made it to production and never competed in NASCAR, but three examples exist including this one now for sale on eBay.
Designed as a successor for the aero-tuned Torino Talladega, the Torino King Cobra has a sleeker front end with hidden headlights and a sloped nose. As the story goes, NASCAR made a rule change in 1970 requiring 3,000 of the vehicles to be produced, which was substantially more than the 500 units required by the previous rule. One of the three prototypes ever built - and the only one built with the Boss 429 engine - is now for sale on eBay with a starting bid of $500,000. With a little more than three days left on the auction there are still no bids, but in the grand scheme of things this seems like a relatively fair price for a rare piece of automobile and racing history.
Ford opens 88 new dealerships in China in a single day
Mon, 23 Jun 2014"Ford opened 88 dealerships in China last year." "Ford opened 88 dealerships in China during the first half of 2014." "Ford opened 88 dealerships in China last month." None of those statements - even the last one - would seem unbelievable. Saying "Ford opened up 88 dealerships in China last Thursday," though, is a bit more dramatic.
Yes, on June 19 alone, Ford opened the doors on nearly 100 showrooms in the People's Republic, boosting the Blue Oval's total presence in the country to 750 dealerships. Of course, while an overabundance of dealers in the US proved troublesome for American manufacturers back in 2008 and 2009, there's no such concern in China. Considering the country's huge population and the breakneck pace of the local auto industry, you could be forgiven for being surprised Ford only has 750 outlets at this stage.
What's notable about this most recent push, besides the sheer volume of new stores, is their location. Over three-quarters of the new dealerships are in so-called Tier 4 cities, which are smaller towns that still contain millions of people. This fits with Ford's strategy in China of avoiding the bigger battlegrounds that are already dominated by competitors and focusing on setting up shop in newer markets that may have been overlooked, according to Automotive News.
Hyundai, BMW and Ford win Concept Vehicle of the Year awards
Sat, 06 Jul 2013More than two dozen jurors started with a pool of 23 concept cars introduced at the most recent Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and New York auto shows, then pared it down to three winners in three categories for the twelfth annual North American Concept Vehicle of the Year Awards. The trophy-bearers are said to be those "vehicles most likely to shape the future of the automobile industry," and lead their classes in the Concept Car, Concept Truck and Production Preview divisions.
Hyundai had two cars as finalists for the Concept Car category, the competition boiled down to the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis concept, Veloster C3 Roll Top, Honda EV-STER and the Toyota Corolla Furia. It won with the HCD-14 Genesis that was introduced at the Detroit Auto Show, a sharp sedan that sharply divided opinion between those who thought it was too much, those who thought it was too much Audi A7, and those who thought it was perfect. The award panel's judges, however, thought so much of it that it's got two awards in one sitting, not only taking concept car honors, but because it earned the highest overall score in the competition it also takes the crown for Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2013.
The final selection in the Concept Truck category was down to the Ford Atlas, Kia Cross GT, Nissan Resonance and Volkswagen Cross Blue. The Ford Atlas took the silverware, after also winning the Eyes on Design award - shared with the Nissan Resonance - at the Detroit Auto Show where it was introduced.
