We are selling our 2003 Ford Taurus. The car has 170500 miles on it and runs very nice. We bought this car 3 years ago with 103,000 miles. The car has a rebuilt salvage title. We drove this car for more than 70,000 miles and never had a problem. The previous owner told us that the car did not have any major damage at any time that would impair the functionality of the car. WE DO NOT KNOW WHY OR HOW DID THIS CAR HAVE A REBUILT SALVAGE TITLE. We purchased the car AS WAS at the time and knew it will serve us well.

We loved the car but now we purchased a bigger car as our needs have increased.
The car runs and drivers very good. No known mechanical problems as long as we had it. Never had any issues with it. We changed the oil regularly. It does however have tear and wear that are cosmetic in nature. Please see the pictures. There is a rust spot on the back right side fender. The front of the hood (engine hood) has some scratches on it. There are other scratches on the car that are cosmetic in nature and do not affect the operational nature of the car.

The air conditioning in the car did not work the best this last summer. I believe you may have to buy a can of AC liquid and put it in. Tires at some point may need to be rotated and eventually changed. The windshield is cracked but we drove it like that for 3 years. There is a crack in the front bumper. Also the drivers side mirror was glued on. We never had a problem with it as is (glued on). We drove it like this for the past 3 years.

This can be an excellent affordable starter car for a student or commuter car. We priced it accordingly. We bought it because we wanted to pay cash for our vehicle and have something that we can just drive around.
If you have any questions please contact us at fourzerosix 3 two zero twenty-four fifty one

The car is near Roundup, MT. It is NOT registered, so you would have to come and see it if you'd like. We Accept  PAYPAL If yo used a check you will need to wait 10 days to CLEAR THE CHECK.

We do not negotiate big chunks. We are pricing the car at $1900 because the age and condition of the car. NADA and Kelly Blue Book price this car in its condition between $3200 - $2400. Thus, I think that this is a good deal for anyone wanting a reliable car with decent gas milage (25-27 m/g) So if you would like to tire click or depreciate the car please save your time and do not call.
Thank you for your understanding.  The car is listed in local ads and Craigslist so we reserve to take the auction offline as soon as it sells.

Ford bringing production F-150 to Detroit with Atlas styling and Alcoa blast shields

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

According to a report in Bloomberg, the 2015 Ford F-150 will indeed be showing up at the Detroit Auto Show next month. It will bring attitude with it, not only in the form of sheetmetal inspired by the Atlas concept (pictured) that appeared at the 2013 Detroit show but also in the Alcoa military blast shields among the display being used to showcase the ruggedness of aluminum.
There's been a lot of talk about the F-150 switching to aluminum body panels (although maintaining a steel frame), and for good reason. The lightweight body is expected to shed more than 700 pounds and greatly increase its highway mileage, but production-line issues and possible delays have been a major focus of attention concerning the best-selling vehicle in America for 32 years, meaning Ford has to get it right. F-150 is responsible for a massive portion of the company's global profits and it will come in a year when company profits are already predicted to decline because of new car launches.
When it comes to dings, the Bloomberg story says Ford wants Alcoa to supply some of the military-grade aluminum it uses for blast shields on battlefield vehicles to help it talk up the toughness of aluminum. Reading commentary on the many stories about the F-150 reveals there are many more little questions about the aluminum overhaul, like "How much will it cost to repair and insure?" and "How will companies hang their magnetic signs?" Answers should start coming in a couple of weeks.

Ford celebrating 80 years of Aussie utes as it prepares to shutter Oz manufacturing

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

Ford is ending Australian production after 90 years in 2016, and with it may go perhaps the most iconic vehicles in its auto market - the ute. Car-based pickup trucks like the Ford Ranchero and Chevrolet El Camino were always more of a curiosity than a true market force here, but in Australia, they have long proven hugely popular.
As the legend goes, Ford invented the niche after a farmer's wife had asked Ford Australia's managing director for a more utilitarian car. Her request was simple: "My husband and I can't afford a car and a truck but we need a car to go to church on Sunday and a truck to take the pigs to market on Monday. Can you help?"
Ford's design team came up with a two-passenger, enclosed, steel coupe body with glass windows and a steel-paneled, wooden-frame load area in the rear. The sides of the bed were blended into the body to make it look more unified, and to keep costs down, the front end and interior were based on the Ford Model 40 five-window coupe. Power came from a V8 with shifting chores handled by a three-speed manual. Within a year, the new vehicle was ready, and production began in 1934. Lead designer Lewis Bandt christened it the coupe-utility.

Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
