I purchased this car a year and a half ago from the son of an old lady who could no longer drive. The car was kept in a garage and used only to go get groceries and run errands. It had 12,000 original miles when I bought it. Most of the miles I put on it are highway miles driving to Miami and back to care for a friend of mine who had back surgery.

Until recently, it was kept in a garage by me as well but I was forced to move due to my disabilities and unfortunately I no longer have a garage to keep it in. I really don't want to sell the car - it's as clean as you will ever find a used car but I just can't afford 2 vehicles at this time and don't feel comfortable leaving it out in the sun to get ruined.

I can't imagine you could find a lower mileage, cleaner example of this car if you tried. The engine bay is clean enough to eat off of. The car is close to showroom new with very few imperfections. There are a few tiny little chips up front from rocks or bugs and that's about it. The driver's side floor mat shows some wear and the arm rests in the back need some attention - other than that, the car is immaculate. Everything works. I've never had a single problem with the car. I really do hate to sell it as I'll never find another one as clean but I just can't afford to keep it at this time. My loss is your gain.

This SEL is loaded with all the options available in 2002. Multi-disk CD changer, cruise control, power driver's seat with lumbar, ice cold AC. Kelly Blue Book value is $6,300. I will consider all offers approaching that number and I reserve the right to close the auction early if a solid offer is presented.

Buyer will be responsible for picking the car up here at Cocoa Beach, FL. (or in the vicinity). Full payment due in 3 days after auction (unless other arrangements are made). Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Autoblog editors choose their favorite racecars of all time

Thu, Feb 26 2015

If you like cars, there is a good chance that you like racecars. There's something about the science and the art of going faster, of competition, of achievement, that accelerates the hearts of enthusiasts. It doesn't matter the series, the team or the manufacturer – there's something about racing that stirs emotions and lifts spirits. It's that way with many of you, and it's that way with our editors. With that in mind, we offer a list of our favorite racecars of all time. Of course, we'd like to hear some of yours in the comment section below. 1970 Porsche 917 Compared to some of the obscure choices by my colleagues, I feel like the Porsche 917 is almost so obvious a pick as to not be worth mentioning. Still, when coming up with my answer, my mind invariably went back to this classic racer – specifically in its blue-and-orange Gulf livery – while watching Le Mans on DVD and later Blu Ray with my dad. Long, low and curvaceous, few vehicles have ever looked sexier lapping a track than the 917. More than just a pretty face, this beauty had speed, too, thanks to several tunes of flat-12 engines over the course of its racing life. In the early '70s, Porsche was a dominant force throughout sports-car competition, and the 917 (shown above at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona) was the tip of that spear, including back-to-back victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Largely without dialogue or really much of a traditional plot, Le Mans is like a tone poem of racing goodness. While the 917's importance to motorsports history is undoubtedly fascinating, it's still this cinematic depiction of the Porsche racer that draws me in most, especially with the volume cranked. – Chris Bruce Associate Editor 1964 Mini Cooper S How could everyone not be selecting the 1964 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon? That car, 33 EJB, took the first of British Motor Corporation's four Monte Carlo Rally wins (it should have been five, but French judges got the British Minis [and Fords] disqualified on a technicality regarding headlights... which its own car, the winning DS, was also in violation of). The tiny red car and its white roof beat out Ford Falcons, Mercedes-Benz 300SEs and scores of Volvos, Volkswagens and Saabs. This, along with the several years of dominance that followed, cemented the idea that not only could the tiny, two-tone Mini be a real performance vehicle, but that family-friendly city cars in general could be fun.

Ken Block proves the new Ford Focus RS can handle that Gymkhana thing

Wed, Feb 4 2015

Oh Ford, you've already done a lot for us today, introducing the bound-for-America Focus RS and all. But then you go ahead and add onto this day of good news by handing a prototype of the new all-wheel-drive rocket to drift maestro Ken Block and capture it all on video. Block does his usual, slipping and sliding and drifting the over-315-horsepower hot hatchback through Ford's Cologne, Germany factory, before making a final and surprising appearance at the unveiling of the new RS to European media. It's all as entertaining as it sounds, and gives us plenty of chances to hear the 2.3-liter EcoBoost at full bellow. Related Video:

Ford Mondeo classes up with premium Vignale trim

Wed, 11 Sep 2013

Back in the day, Vignale was a carrozzeria of the highest order, alongside the likes of Pininfarina, Bertone and Zagato. But like Giugiaro-ItalDesign and Ghia, it has since been subsumed into a larger auto group. Ford ended up with it under its umbrella when it took over De Tomaso, and has since used the moniker for a number of concept cars. Now the name is back in the form of a new upscale sub-brand for the European market.
The first new model to receive the Vignale treatment is the Mondeo, which Ford unveiled here at the Frankfurt Motor Show in both sedan and wagon forms. Positioned above the Titanium trim, the Vignale model gets such special touches as chrome trim and a quilted leather interior, Vignale badges replacing any mention of the Mondeo on which it's based. It also gains an ownership experience - including free car washes for life! - to befit the upscale positioning.
Under the bright spotlights above the show floor, the Nocciola metallic brown paint might not be the most photogenic, but will likely give the Vignale edition a more premium look when it hits European dealers and roads in 2015. Whether it'll be worth however much Ford asks for it, however, remains to be seen. Scroll down below for the official press release.
