Up for auction is this beautiful 2000 Ford Taurus with only 47,433 miles. I bought this car a little over 3 years ago from a family friend with only 2662 miles (see picture of title). I have driven it since putting only highway miles on it. You will not find a nicer Taurus as this one needs nothing. The tires have less than 500 miles along with front brake rotors and the battery was replaced just 3 weeks ago. There is no rust and it has always been garage kept. This car has power windows, door locks, A/C, split front seat with fold down council, pass-thru rear seat, heated power mirrors, cruise control, am/fm cassette, 3.0 DOHC 24 valve motor, two sets of floor mats. This runs great and gets good gas mileage (for me 24-27mpg). Everything works. If you want a like new car at a fraction of the cost, this is it! Please contact me with any questions. Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars
Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.

Motorweek goes retro with '80s hot hatch shootout

It recently added old road test videos to its YouTube channel of the Acura NSX and Toyota Supra, as well as the Ferrari F40. For one of its newest flashback clips, Motorweek has exhumed an affordable five-car challenge of 1986's premiere hot hatches.
By today's standards, this is an eclectic field that features fondly remembered classics like the Volkswagen GTI 16-valve and Acura Integra. However, it also throws in some nearly forgotten contenders like the Dodge Colt Turbo and Ford Escort GT. The angular Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S rounds out the group.
It's fascinating to watch Motorweek run the quintet through the slalom, down the drag strip and on various roads. What's most striking in this clip is the difference in the definition of a performance car between then and now. With its 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder, the GTI is the burliest of the contenders with 123 horsepower, but it still takes 8.8 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour. By today's standards, that would make it a plain-jane economy car, and not even a particularly quick one.
