This truck has the following options: 152,528 MILES 4.0 SOHC V-6/Automatic Transmission Power Steering and Brakes AM/FM/Cassette/CD Stereo Air Conditioning Tilt Wheel/Cruise Control Power Windows/Locks/Mirrors Rear Jump Seats Full Bed Liner & Tonneau Cover Sliding Rear Window Factory Chrome Wheels Remote Keyless Entry (two keys) This truck, per Auto-Chek, is a well-cared for, one-owner vehicle. It runs and drives, in my opinion, like it rolled off the showroom floor. I’ve driven many trucks, small and large, but this one is really remarkable in the way it operates mechanically. You turn the key, it starts right up. You put it in gear and it shifts normally, as you’d expect. The brakes are to the top and it steers correctly, without the noise you’d expect from a vehicle this age. The body, minus a couple of nicks, is in tip-top condition. There is a small ding above the left-rear tail light that is visible in one of the pictures. The interior is fresh and crisp. I believe the new owner will enjoy getting into this truck every day and driving it to work. We believe all options in this truck are working correctly. Ford to reveal Vignale sub-brand with special Mondeo in Frankfurt
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Ford says that 10-15 percent of its customers in Europe want their cars to be set apart from regular Fords - even those wearing the top Titanium X trim - and the Blue Oval will answer them with the Vignale sub-brand. The new brand proposes a more upscale look and a much-improved dealership experience, Autocar reports. The Vignale Mondeo will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show to kick off the new endeavor.
The first Ford to receive the Vignale treatment will be the 2015 Mondeo, a Euro-only model, followed by the new S-Max and Edge. The Vignale Mondeo is set apart visually from other Mondeos by a chrome grille and chrome door handles and mirror caps. Mondeo badging will be deleted - only Vignale badging will make an appearance.
The interior will get a more upscale flavor, as well, with quilted leather seats and door trim and leather covering the instrument panel, center console and steering wheel. A Vignale-badged storage drawer will be installed in the trunk, and in-car Wi-Fi is available.
Feds Probe Power Steering In 938,000 Ford Midsize Cars
Mon, Oct 6 2014U.S. safety regulators are investigating complaints that the power-assisted steering can suddenly fail on three Ford midsize car models. The probe covers 938,000 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ cars from the 2010 through 2012 model years, as well as the 2010 and 2011 Mercury Milan. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it has received 508 complaints alleging that the cars lost power-assisted steering, causing increased steering effort. Four complaints say the problem caused crashes, but no injuries were reported. The agency says in documents posted Monday on its website that in many cases, a warning message appeared as the failure happened. Restarting the car corrected the problem in some cases, but the problem returned in others. The agency says it will check the scope and frequency of a problem. It could seek a recall. Ford says it's cooperating with the probe. Shares of Ford Motor Co. rose 6 cents to $14.65 in morning trading Monday. Its shares are down 14 percent over the past year. 2014 Ford Fiesta ST
Tue, 15 Oct 2013I'm not overly inclined to professional jealousy, as a rule. Sure, I go a bit green around the eyes when Ramsey draws the 911 GT3 trip to Weissach, Harley is tapped-in to drive a completely stunning Porsche 911 by Singer, or, you know, Drew Phillips gets to shoot a Lamborghini Veneno in the middle of a desert like some sort of sheik. I hate you guys...
Honestly though, one of the new car events that dug me the most, was when our Steven J. Ewing got to fling the Ford Fiesta ST around some hot corner of Europe. What goes around comes around, I suppose, as Mr. Ewing himself espoused an envious nature of the Focus ST trip that came before.
The good news in all this covetous intra-office behavior? All the cars mentioned, and specifically the Fiesta ST, are just wonderful to drive. I can say that with more confidence than ever now, having joined Ford for a good bit of Fiesta-flinging myself. In my case, the locale was slightly more pedestrian (Michigan not Portugal), and the car in question was the five-door version of the Fiesta ST that we get here in The States, as opposed to the three-door number they get across the pond.
