I AM NOT  A  DEALER OF AUTO'S , I AM SELLING THIS CAR FOR A GENTLEMEN THAT HAS DROVE IT DAILY WITH NO PROBLEMS , BUT WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ONE DAY THE TRUCK STOPPED GOING INTO HIGH GEAR, SO YOU ARE BIDDING ON THIS TRUCK AS IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. THE TRUCK SEEMS TO BE PRETTY SOLID , AND RUNS VERY GOOD.  ALL THE OTHER GEARS SEEM TO WORK OKAY , IT WILL GO FORWARD AND REVERSE , I DID NOT DRIVE IT DOWN THE ROAD BUT HE SAID IT WOULD NOT DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD IN HIGH GEAR. I BELIEVE THIS TRUCK IS TO GOOD TO GO TO THE JUNK YARD , IT ONLY HAS 86,000 MILES ON IT, SO I AM SELLING IT FOR HIM TO EITHER USE FOR PARTS OR REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE BEEN TOLD SOMETIMES YOU MAY JUST NEED TO FLUSH THEM OUT OR THERE IS A MODULE THAT MIGHT BE BAD , BUT AGAIN I AM NOT IN THAT BUSINESS SO I WILL LEAVE IT UP TO THE EXPERTS. THE TRUCK IS PRETTY SOLID , SOME RUST ON GAS FILLER DOOR AND PASSENGER SIDE FENDER BY THE MUDFLAP , MINOR SCRATHES ,  PAINT LOSS ON THE HOOD , ROCKERS LOOK SOLID , INTERIOR WILL NEED SOME CLEANING UP , SMALL HOLE IN SEAT. Ford worker files for UAW dues refund, stirs right-to-work debate

Let's start with some history: Ford's Dearborn truck plant, part of the company's massive River Rouge complex, was the center of a strike in 1941 that led to Ford signing the first "closed shop" agreement in the industry. The agreement obliged every worker at the plant to be a dues-paying member of the United Auto Workers. In December 2012, however, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder signed legislation making Michigan a right-to-work state, which outlawed closed shops. The new law gave workers the right to opt out of union membership and stop paying dues even if they were still covered by union activities like collective bargaining. For employees at the Dearborn plant, the right-to-work clauses take effect at the end of their current contract in 2015.
As a tool-and-die maker at Ford's Dearborn plant for 16 years, Todd Lemire pays dues to the UAW - about two hours' salary per month. However, he's been unhappy with the UAW's support of the Democratic party, and not wanting to wait until next year to be out of the UAW entirely he invoked his Beck Rights, which state that a non-member of a union does not have to pay dues to support non-core activities, such as political spending. But Lemire wasn't happy that Ford still subtracted the total amount of dues, with the UAW reimbursing the difference, so he filed suit with the National Labor Relations Board, feeling that the workaround violates his rights.
Lemire's case is just a week old, so it could be a while before a resolution. Yet, as September 15, 2015 draws near and the right-to-work laws take full effect for Michigan workers - and others wonder whether it could help revitalize the state's manufacturing base - a case like this adds more fuel to the discussion.

Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept

Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."

NHTSA investigating 725k Ford, Mercury vehicles for stalling issue

Owners of Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan models, listen up. According to a report on Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into these four vehicles totaling an estimated 725,000 units. The investigation appears to center around a malfunctioning throttle body on non-hybrid models of the 2005-2012 Escape and 2011-2012 Fusion. With Mercury dying off after the 2011 model year, this probe will also apply to the 2005 through 2011 Mariner and the 2011 Milan. There has been some discussion around the Escape stalling issue for some time now, but this investigation appears to be larger in scope than before.
Though not a recall yet, NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 123 complaints of stalling or surging vehicles, while Ford itself has logged 1,472 complaints. The investigation report, which is posted below, seems to indicate that a faulty circuit board for the throttle body could cause the vehicle to go into limp mode, which, according to NHTSA, could cause complaints of both stalling and surging.
