Up for auction is my 2004 Ford Ranger XLT. It has power steering, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, a cd player and ice cold air condition. The ac was recharged last summer. It has a fresh Pa state inspection and is good until 3-14. It has newer front brakes and rotors, rear brake pads and exhaust system. It also has a newer interstate battery and air filter. Newer spark plugs and plug wires. The oil and oil filter was just changed about 500 miles ago. The tires have about 3/4 tread left. The truck has just over 149,000 miles on it and it gets around 25 miles per gallon. This truck runs great so dont let the higher miles stop you from buying this truck.. It has been serviced regularly and has been well taken care of. It is a used pickup though so it does have some small scratches and dings. There is a dent behind the passanger wheel on the lower bed which can be seen in the photos. I am sure it can be pulled out or pushed out from behind. Truck is being sold as is with no warrenty. Jay Leno and Lee Iacocca reflect on 50 years of Ford Mustang
Mon, 30 Dec 2013Lee Iacocca oversaw the birth of the Ford Mustang back in the 1960s, rocketing the new pony car nameplate into million-unit sales territory in its initial go-round and cementing its place in the history books. Thus, we were immediately drawn to this latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage, in which the funnyman hosts Iacocca for a look at the origins of Ford's most iconic sports car. The legendary auto exec is looking notably more frail than when we last saw him, but if we're being asked around as a video guest when we're 89 years old, we'll consider that evidence of a life well lived.
Serial No. 0001 is on hand for the occasion for Jay's romp through history, as is the historic Mustang 1 showcar from 1962. Of course, the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT (in prototype form) makes an appearance at the end of the episode with chief engineer Dave Pericak, as well. Get some, below.
How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be
Fri, 20 Sep 2013Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.
