2004 Ford Ranger Xlt 4 Door V6 Low Miles No Reserve on 2040-cars
Clifton, New Jersey, United States
You are looking at a very nice 2004 Ford Ranger XLT Pickup, Automatic transmission .... This reliable 6 cylinder beauty has only under 82,000 miles on it LOOKS GREAT!!! This truck runs good, is tight on the road and everything works.... I am the second owner and my grandfather was the first one. This is a California truck and has been nothing but awesome for the past 2 1/2 years I've owned it and it has a clean CARFAX, .....If you are looking for a good looking truck that will go anywhere and and is reliable here it is!!!!!!. About 3 month ago took it to get NJ the inspection and it passed with flying colors. The exterior is in good shape and shows well but it could use a cleaning......Also it has 4 new tires within the last month. And new spark plugs, wires, serpentine belt, fuel filter and brake pads within the last 6 month This car has COLD a/c and HOT heat. That being said, this is a ten year old truck and it's not perfect. It has a few imperfections that are all minor but I'll mention them just to be as transparent as possible. The driver side fender have a dent the size of a quarter I put a pic but is hard to see it. The rear bumper has a dent from somebody hitting it while it was park I wasn't able to catch them so I didn't get it fixed but the dents are not very significant I also have a pic of that but is not to bad, and a couple of small dings and small scratches nothing serious but not visible unless you're up close. In the interior, the only imperfection is the headliner has a small rip and is sagging in one section, please look at the pics. And the rear window behind the driver seat was broken years ago but it was replace with plexiglass just the left side behind the driver by a car shop but is fully functional and doesn't leak.
The 6 cylinder starts right up, has plenty of power and runs great. The Automatic gas saving transmission shifts smoothly and works perfectly. This Ranger will drive you home wherever you need to drive. If you have any further questions, please let me know and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. At the close of the auction, you will need a $250 deposit and have 7 days to pay the remaining balance and pick up the truck |

Ford Green Zone works magic with GPS to make your drive smarter, cleaner
Fri, Aug 29 2014For the most part, plug-in hybrids rely on the power stored in the battery until that charge is depleted. Unless the switch can be changed manually, it's only then that the cars fire up the internal combustion engine and begin using the fossil fuels on board. This is ideal, of course, when one's drive isn't long enough that the car needs to start sipping gasoline at all. On longer commutes, when it's certain that the route is longer than the car's all-electric range, this isn't necessarily the most efficient use of energy. Ford's Green Zone system is designed to save some of that juice for the parts of the drive that require slower speeds. Ford is working on a smart system, based on Nokia mapping technology, that uses GPS data to use both the electricity and conventional fuel more efficiently. Since battery power is less efficient at highway speeds, Ford's Green Zone system is designed to save some of that juice for the parts of the drive that require slower speeds, rather than just using up all the electrons right at the beginning of the drive. Using a website or the in-car navigation system, the driver can pinpoint the parts of the route, highlighted in green, where using battery power would be more effective, and set the car to automatically switch to electricity for those sections. Depending on the route, the car could automatically switch back and forth between the two power sources multiple times, particularly if the drive is a mix between city and highway driving. Of course, Green Zone will be go beyond that. The program is being developed to take traffic and road grade into account, details that allow the car to be make even smarter choices to improve efficiency. Ford even hopes to have Green Zone learn driver habits, and respond accordingly depending on who is driving the car. The system could control other features as well, such as anticipating corners and shifting the headlights to better illuminate the road ahead. Green Zone could also potentially use information from vehicle-to-vehicle networking to control functions in the car. The Green Zone system still has a few years before it will be ready to be put into production vehicles, but Ford is confident it will make its way onto the road eventually. As with other innovations that improve efficiency and make our vehicles smarter, we can expect to see similar technology from other manufacturers, until it becomes a regular part of driving in the future.
2018 Ford Expedition spied looking stylish
Tue, Sep 6 2016The Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator got a cool reception for their 2015 warmed-over redesign. But with big, high-riding vehicles once again in vogue, Ford is pushing ahead with a ground-up redesign of its biggest SUVs. Based on these spy shots, the Expedition will continue to serve as the Navigator's more affordable twin. Yes, that's a bold prediction, considering we still haven't spotted Lincoln testing the new Navigator, but study the greenhouses on this Expedition prototype and the Navigator Concept from New York – from the arrow-straight belt line to the extra-long rear window to the aggressively raked windshield, this Expedition's overall profile is broadly similar to what Lincoln previewed earlier this year. While our spies claim the new Expedition will look to the F-150 for design inspiration, we see a departure from past Expedition tradition. Unlike the supposed Expedition spy shots we showed you nearly a year ago – which was nothing more than an SUV with an F-150's nose grafted on, this prototype's front-end styling looks softer and more aerodynamic, with a smaller grille and headlights, almost like an Escape or Edge. This kind of change would explain the additional front-end camouflage. In back, our spies rightly point out that Ford fitted a faux rear end to disguise the rear window's rake – expect the real thing to feature the angled rear window previewed on the Navigator Concept. Look at the last image in the gallery for a better idea of how the Expedition's rear window will actually look. We can't say a lot about the taillights, because of the camo, but non-LED taillights are present. We'd expect Ford to offer LEDs on higher trim levels. While the F-150's styling might not make the transition to the Expedition, its powertrains and emphasis on lightweight aluminum will. Our spies report the biggest SUV will ride on a new T3 platform and feature an aluminum body, with the F-150's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. Expect a ten-speed automatic transmission and start/stop tech for sure, while the smaller 2.7-liter, twin-turbo V6 could slot in as the Expedition's base engine – we're less sure on that one. And we're even more uncertain of the rumors of an Expedition Hybrid. Our spies report it could mate a 3.5-liter V6 with an electric motor(s) and battery packs for a more economical full-size SUV. Expect to see the 2018 Expedition debut in January, at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.
