2003 Ford Ranger Xlt Extended Cab Pickup 4-door 4.0l Fx4 Level 2 Sonic Blue on 2040-cars
Thatcher, Arizona, United States
I have a 2003 Ford Ranger FX4 Level 2. The FX4 Level 2 Ranger is the top of the line ranger. It came from the factory with the following: full skid plates, 4.10 gears, limited slip rear end, Bilstein shocks, Alcola aluminum rims, BFG All Terrain tires, tow package, and interior package. The interior package includes: 2 tone seats, power locks-windows-mirrors, rubber floor mats, leather wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, and "twin stick" shifters. Powertrain is 4.0 SOHC engine with a 5sp. manual transmission. Things I have recently done to the truck are: clutch, flywheel, slave and master cylinders, altenator, new BFG ALL Terrain tires, and bed rails off a Ranger Edge. All regular maintance items as well as all parts that have been replaced have been Ford Motorcraft parts. I am a Ford mechanic and have replaced them myself and have receipts. In the pictures you will see truck with chrome rims, bumpers, and ranger emblems. Currently the chrome on the truck is plasti dipped black. There is nothing wrong with the chrome I just like the blacked out look. If you research plasti dip, it peels off and does not leave any residue and does not harm anything. If buyer would like, I can peel it off to prove it. Aftermarket upgrades are JL door speakers and Alpine deck. Exterior is in great condition with a few small dents from other people doors. Interior is in excellent condition with better than normal wear.

Hennessey unleashes 2015 HPE700 supercharged Ford Mustang
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Thanks to the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat there is a new magic number in the muscle car world - 707. To raise eyebrows these days in the power war, a vehicle needs to match or preferably exceed that palindromic figure. The tuners over at Hennessey took a look at it for their 2015 HPE700 Mustang and decided to go one better. Well, ten actually, because they bestowed their latest creation with 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque.
The HPE 700 Mustang takes the standard Mustang GT with its 5.0-liter V8 and turns up the power a few hundred notches with a Roots-type supercharger running at 7.25 psi. Hennessey claims that this boosted 'Stang can rocket to 60 miles per hour in about 3.6 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. For those keeping score at home, those figures are very similar to Challenger Hellcat.
To cope with all of the added boost, the engine gets a high-flow throttle body, upgraded injectors, new fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust and Hennessey's calibration for the engine management. Pricing for the package is $59,500, including the base 2015 Mustang GT, but the company is limiting production to 500 units for the 2015 model year. Founder John Hennessey told Autoblog that he has already received about a dozen orders for them.

Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany
Sat, 29 Jun 2013Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
Whatever it is and wherever it's headed, you can check out in the gallery for a closer look before heading into Comments to weigh in with your best guess.
