2000 white Ford Ranger XLT Truck with matching custom campertop. Step-side body style. Extended cab with two small seats and lots of cargo space behind driver and passenger seats. 3.0L V6 engine. 162,000 miles. Automatic with 2x2 rear wheel drive. 2 inch square hitch and tow-package. Cloth upholstry and carpet in interior; bed liner. Smoke-free. Runs great. Several cosmetic blemishes: scratch on right front and dent on left front, but has never been in a wreck. Single-owner, purchased new from Ford dealership. Has been well-maintained: Needs minor work: automatic door lock doesn't work (wiring issue), A/C stopped working about a month ago (might be the air compressor?) Sat, 16 Mar 2013Here's a math problem: if Tanner Foust has a 24 hours to kill in Germany and one blue Ford Raptor, how long will it take him to decide he wants to lap The Nürburgring? Extra credit if you can get your answer precise to the millisecond.
A very truck-like and slidey lap of the 'Ring is exactly what happened when the Ford-sponsored rallycross driver took time off from set-up duties for his 'day job.' Thankfully no one even thought to worry about posting a time, but you can watch some Raptor skid marks getting laid down between the kerbs in the video below.

Wrap up some fun with Ford's commercial vehicle configurator
Tue, 27 Aug 2013Ford has combined multiple steps into one with its commercial vehicle configurator, which allows users to choose, design and place orders for the Transit, Transit Connect, E-Series vans and F-Series Super Duty trucks.
The most interesting part of the new configurator is a fairly robust design tool. Users are able to choose paint color and wrap the vehicle, and then create their own graphics. No materials are needed - Ford provides numerous background textures, text boxes, plenty of shapes and 20 categories of images including floral, construction, plumbing and skylines. Self-created designs or images can be uploaded to the system as well.
