You are bidding on a 1999 Ford Ranger stepside with 87,227 miles, stated as actual on title. It is equiped with the 3.0L engine and a 5 speed trans. With a K&N cold air system and a brand new battery. It has power disc brakes, power steering, cold A/C, power windows and a very good JVC stereo system with Amp behind drivers seat. The tires are almost new Uniroyal A/T size 235/75/15 and nice Eagle aluminum wheels. Also has custom taillights and billet grille. There are no cracks in the dash or door panels. All glass is good. All gauges work properly and holds good oil pressure. This truck drives straight down the road, shifts smooth with a good strong clutch. The brakes are excellent. The body is in very good condition with the original Jalepeno paint. There is one small rust spot above the windshield but it is surface and not all the way through. also two small places at the bottom of the tailgate. The power window switch on the driver side don't work, could be the switch or just the terminals cleaned. The " door ajar" light stays on even though the doors close properly. The outside lock on the drivers side is boogered up some where someone tried to get in it but it still locks. This is a very dependable truck and never overheats. The stepside Rangers are getting very hard to find especially with low miles like this one. There is a non refundable deposit of $200.00 due within 24 hours of the end of the auction by pay pal and the balance due within 5 days of the end of the auction in the form of a bank cashiers check or bank money order, all funds must clear before the truck can be picked up. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I will help in any way I can. I will store for up to 2 weeks at no cost. If you have zero feedback or a lot of negatives get in touch before you bid. Thank you and good luck. *** I did list the correct VIN number so I don't know why it says I didn't. ***

Ford Focus ST checks into Jay Leno's Garage
Mon, 23 Sep 2013In a change of pace from the high-end vehicles that often appear in Jay Leno's Garage, Ford sends its hottest hatchback (in the US, at least), the 252-horsepower Focus ST, to be featured on Leno's show. Accompanying the five-door hatch is its chief engineer, Jamal Hameedi.
Riding on stylish 18-inch wheels with summer tires and with a spoiler that doubles as a lunch tray, Hameedi and Leno walk us through the finer points of what makes the ST special, which also includes bigger brakes, torque vectoring, a manual transmission and, of course, 252 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque from the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which is made possible by 21 psi of turbocharged boost.
Watch the video below to see what Leno thinks of the global Focus ST.
Honda poised for growth, Detroit to hold steady, Car Wars study says
Fri, Jun 5 2015The automotive industry is expected to keep booming in the US over the next several years, but the train might start running out of steam in the long term, according to 2015's Car Wars report from Bank of America Merrill Lynch analyst John Murphy. The forecast focuses on changes between the 2016 and 2019 model years, and the latest trends appear similar in some cases to the past predictions. Sales are expected to keep growing and reach a peak of 20 million in 2018, according to the Detroit Free Press. The expansion is projected to come from a quick pace of vehicle launches, with an average of 48 introductions a year – 26 percent more than in 1996. Crossovers are expected to make up a third of these, maintaining their strong popularity. However, Murphy predicts a decline, as well. By 2025, total sales could fall to around 15 million units. As of May 2015, the seasonally adjusted annual rate for this year stands at 17.71 million. Like last year, Honda is predicted to be a big winner in the future thanks to products like the next-gen Civic. "Honda should be the biggest market share gainer," Murphy said when presenting the report, according to Free Press. Meanwhile, in a situation similar to Car Wars from 2012, a lack of many new vehicles is expected to cause a drop for Hyundai, Kia, and Nissan. Based on this forecast, Ford, General Motors, and FCA US will all generally maintain market share for the coming years. The report does make some future product predictions, though. The next Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra might come in 2019, which is earlier than expected. Also, Lincoln could get a Mustang-based coupe for 2017, a compact sedan for 2018 and an Explorer-based model in 2019, according to the Free Press. V6 engines will outpace V8s for the 2015 Ford F-150
Wed, 23 Jul 2014How times have changed. Even five years ago, who would have thought the mighty V8 would be just another engine choice for buyers of the 2015 Ford F-150?
Ford is projecting about 28 percent of the next-generation trucks will have the 5.0-liter V8. That's nothing to sneeze at, but consider this: Ford figures its two EcoBoost truck engines - the new 2.7-liter V6 and the existing 3.5-liter V6 - will also each account for about 28 percent of the F-150's sales (56 percent total). That leaves only 15 percent of the pie for the 3.5-liter (non-EcoBoost) V6. The new F-150 goes on sale late this year.
Ford figures its two EcoBoost truck engines will each account for about 28 percent of the F-150's sales.
