1996 Ford Ranger Splash, 3.0L, manual transmission. 214,644 miles. This is a very nice looking truck that was used by a cable TV installer and does have high miles, but most were freeway and hiway miles. The body is very straight with no major damage other than a few dings and scuffs one would expect on a 17 year old daily driver. This truck is a super cab with a short step side fiberglass bed and the bed has a shell with windows, a rubber bed mat and a ladder rack. The interior is gray and starting to show wear, but still decent. The wheels are the factory chrome rallys and the tires have 40-50% tread left. The turck has not been driven for about 6 months. The following things are known to need attention, the windshield is cracked on the passenger side top, the brake pedal pulsates when the brakes are applied, there is a small exhaust leak, and the battery will need to be replaced soon. The truck starts everytime sounds good and doesn't smoke. This is a running driving vehicle and with very little effort this would make a very good work truck for someone or a starter vehicle for a youngster. I have tried to describe this Ranger to the best of my ability, but have probably missed something that you would like to know, if so just ask. If you would like to inspect the Ranger prior to the end of the auction again just ask and arrangements will be made. Comes with a good Missoui title. Thanks for looking.

Ford vandalizes the SEMA Show floor with 2014 Transit Connect
Tue, 05 Nov 2013The Ford booth here at SEMA is practically a 1970s throwback with all these customized vans sitting front and center. And we're completely fine with that. Take the black and yellow (black and yellow, black and yellow) 2014 Transit Connect from Mobsteel above. It's got a great stance, sits on steel wheels and has a pretty cool paint job and graphics package to boot.
Of course, that's not the only van you can see at the Ford booth. In fact, there are 10 Transit Connect vans on display from Ford here at SEMA, and you can see them all in our live gallery of high-res images above. Then, if you want to know more about each specific model, feel free to scroll down to read all about these vans in the official press release from Ford.
FL man fatally shot after urging driver not to do donuts in a Mustang
Tue, 18 Nov 2014Bradley Holt (pictured), the older half-brother of University of South Florida freshman quarterback Quinton Flowers, was killed in a random act of violence last week.
The 24-year-old Holt was throwing a football around with local kids in Allapattah, a neighborhood in Miami, when a yellow Mustang showed up and started doing donuts in the street. Holt, worried about kids playing in front his apartment complex, walked over to the driver and asked him why he was "driving so crazy with so many kids out here?"
The driver left. Holt's sister said the driver came back "about 15 to 20 minutes later" and fired two shots at Holt. One of them hit Holt in the back of the head, killing him.
Ford reveals concept trucks that ultimately became Atlas
Wed, 03 Apr 2013The Ford Atlas Concept was one of the quiet success stories of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and now Ford has given us a quick glimpse as to how that creation came to be. Designers actually combined two early sketches to build the Atlas. One, called the Bullet Train, is a futuristic, aerodynamic creation, while the other, aptly named the Locomotive, features the squared off proportions we're familiar with.
Once designers settled on the truck's proportions, they began nailing down exactly which attributes they wanted the final design to have. The Concept's notched windshield originated as a forked glass roof that seamlessly transitioned into the windscreen.
Likewise, designers wanted to fit the truck's tailgate with a storage compartment for tools and a first aid kit, but settled on the dual-purpose step/cargo cradle. Interestingly enough, the concept's active aero shutter wheels actually originated in some of the earliest sketches. Check out the photos and slides here for a closer look.
