1994 Ford Ranger Project truck. This truck has a 302 already installed with an automatic overdrive transmission. Mileage is approx. but doesn't reflcet motor or transmission (miles unknown). This is NOT a finished project, does not run and drive. I listed this truck a few months ago and ended up with a non paying bidder (no contact after auction) and don't want that again so if you have less than a 5 feedback contact me before bidding. This truck has an early 80's 302 and an aod out of a 92 f150. Driveshaft installed. Needs shifter installed, misc. belts and hoses, exhaust (including a used set of mustang shorty heady and a set of old iron manifolds. Remote oil filter needs to be installed (need the hoses, the rest is there). I'm sure there's more that I just can't think of right now. If you have any questions just ask and I will try my best to answer them promptly. I encourage inspection of this vehicle due to it being a half finished project. Bid to own as it needs a new home so I can finish some of my other projects. There is a reserve set at $500. Less than that and I'll junk it myself. Also I may be willing to transport up to 100 miles for $1 per loaded mile. This would need to be paid in advance and delivery would need to be on a Sunday.

The U-2 spy plane needs high-performance cars to help land
Thu, Oct 15 2015Typically, aircraft deploy their landing gear from three main points. Most military aircraft, for example, deploy two gears at the back and one forward, like a tricycle. Some civilian aircraft flip the layout, with two in front and one in back - tail-draggers. The U-2 Dragon Lady is wildly different than any of these. With a 103-foot wingspan but a body that's just 63-feet long, the layout of the U-2 makes a traditional landing setup infeasible. Instead, the U-2 utilizes a pair of wheels, one up front and one in back. With such a bizarre layout, landings are so tough that since the U-2's earliest flights at Area 51, the US Air Force has used high-performance chase cars to guide the pilot down safely. The landing process isn't over there, though. As this video from Sploid shows, balancing out the aircraft to fit the detachable "pogos" – think training wheels for spy planes – is a comical procedure requiring a number of airman using their full body weight to even out the U-2. This video also recaps some of the great vehicles that have served as chase vehicles for this legendary spy plane. They include Chevrolet El Caminos, and the Fox-body Ford Mustangs so favored by the California Highway Patrol. For the last several years, the USAF has utilized products from General Motors, using fourth-generation Chevy Camaros, before switching over to the Pontiac GTO and most recently, the awesome Pontiac G8. It's fair to say that if you're a gearhead in the Air Force, this is the job you want. Check out the video, embedded up top. 2015 Ford Mustang specs revealed, GT to pack 435 HP
Thu, 17 Jul 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang sounds great so far - at least on paper. Ford has just announced specs for the latest version of the iconic pony car in Dearborn, telling Autoblog that it will pump out as much as 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque from its 5.0-liter V8.
Those gaudy figures power the naturally aspirated GT model, and they easily eclipse the "more than" 420 hp and 390 lb-ft that Ford originally estimated.
The 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder makes 310 hp and 320 lb-ft, and it's the first turbo Mustang since the 1986 SVO.
