02 Ford Ranger Long Bed Residue No Reserve - Will Sell To Highest Bidder on 2040-cars
Morrow, Georgia, United States
No Reserve - Will sell to Highest Bidder Up for Auction is this 2002 Ford Ranger Long Bed residue. I was parting it out, however I need the space. My loss your gain. This vehicle was on the road until an accident on January 2014 took it out of service. It has frame damage in the front so, I don’t think it would be safe to restore and drive at high speeds. However, it would make a great parts donor. As you can see from some of the photos, I took some body parts to improve my other ranger. Still have lots of parts available. Engine compartment is mostly there. Engine and transmission seem to be in good condition as they don’t seem to have been damaged in the accident. One day after the accident I was able to drive truck into a trailer, before it leaked out all the transmission fluid due to a broken transmission fluid line. Radiator and transmission heat exchanger are damaged. The inside cab has already been cannibalized. What you see in the photos is what you get, except the windshield, which is already removed. One rear tire is flat. Tailgate came from a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT and the latch is broken on the right hand side. So, If you need ranger parts, this may be the donor for you. Buyer takes all, truck, camper shown in the photos on the floor, tailgate and the extra doors that came from a 2000 Ranger XLT. Truck still has the 7 foot long bed. All in all, I think, there are over $2000 worth of parts here so, bid with confidence. Local pick up only. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements. Truck is not drivable. Vehicle must be Claimed and Picked up within 72 hours of auction closing or it will be re-listed. No Reserve - Will sell to Highest Bidder |

Detroit 3 and UAW could create healthcare pool
Thu, Sep 3 2015Healthcare costs continue to multiply in the US with no clear end in sight, but the United Auto Workers and the Big Three are negotiating a way to rapid growth under control. As part of the latest contract talks, the union has an idea to create a healthcare pool across all of its members at Ford, General Motors, and FCA US. If accepted, the company-wide integration would spread out the expenses and create a massive member base for bargaining with insurance companies. Both Ford and GM are at least considering the proposal, according to The Detroit News, and FCA US might be on board, as well. The idea is the work of current UAW president Dennis Williams and is based on the similar pool for the Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association for retirees. "I've walked through this several ways; I just don't have any other answer," Williams said to The Detroit News. "I do believe this will work. It's worked with the VEBA." Williams was elected UAW president last year and won by an overwhelming margin. He vowed no more concessions to automakers. In addition to healthcare, the two-tier wage system is another major talking point in the contract negotiation because it gives fewer benefits to entry-level workers. Higher wages are also a request. Healthcare costs are a massive expense for automakers and are expected to reach over $2 billion this year, according to The Detroit News. The payments are up nearly 50 percent or more in just the last four years.
Ford GT successor to debut in Detroit and go racing
Thu, Dec 18 2014Anticipation for all of the exciting reveals at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show just a few weeks away is building to a fever pitch, and rumors are mounting that Ford has a big surprise in store in the shape of a future performance halo model. Insider sources speaking to Autoweek claim the next Ford supercar is definitely going to be revealed at the Detroit show in early January. However, the model is not necessarily the next-generation Ford GT in terms of its name or design aesthetic. Instead, one of these people indicates that the new halo model might drop retro styling altogether. If the latest reports are to be believed, Ford's high-performance project goes beyond something to just grab headlines and rocket down the street. According to Autoweek, the automaker is also reportedly employing Chip Ganassi Racing to run a two-car racing effort in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship in 2016. That would allegedly include a trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans to race on the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40's win in 1966. The speculation goes that at least the racing version might use a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 for power. However, the motorsports part of the program may not be announced during the auto show reveal. Rumors about the new halo car from the Blue Oval and its racing intentions have been percolating for months. The company might have considered an LMP2 entry, but speculation popped up later about the production supercar. A more recent report suggested that Ford might show a new Shelby GT350R Mustang, a successor to the F-150 Raptor and next Ford GT in Detroit.
Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar debuts in Monterey
Fri, 16 Aug 2013Galpin Auto Sports has finally taken the wraps off the car we first previewed back in December, the Galpin Ford GTR1. A few weeks ago, we posted the first hints of just what the GTR1 would be capable of, with Galpin teasing that its 5.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 would produce in excess of 1000 horsepower, with a top speed of 225 miles per hour. Package all that in a coachbuilt body, and you have the recipe for one wicked supercar.
The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000.
Now, we have all the glorious details. Galpin is targeting a production run of six cars, but if interest is strong enough, will expand its initial quote to 24 vehicles. The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000. Opting for the aluminum bodywork could lower that, although it's not immediately clear by how much.
