This is an outstanding "blank slate" from which to start your project and make it your own. Hard to find but here it is. All parts can fit in the bed for shipping. We highly recommend all interested buyers to personally inspect the car or have it inspected. Vehicle shown by appointment only. Please call Ken at 713-541-2281 to make an appointment. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 9-5. A 10% deposit of the sales price is due at the end of the auction by bank wire or cash in person. The balance is due within 7 days by bank wire or cash in person. Buyer responsible for all shipping costs. Texas buyer will be responsible for tax, title, and license fees as required by law. Ford Escort returns, just not for US
Sat, 19 Apr 2014Ford is set to give the burgeoning Chinese market its very own C-segment model, while also reviving one of the brand's more notable nameplates. The new Escort, which will make its world debut at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show will be built in the People's Republic at the Changan Ford joint venture facility.
The Escort's exterior is best thought of as a mix of the finer points from the US market Focus and Fusion, with the Aston Martin-ish grille and narrow, wraparound taillights presenting a clean look at either end of the car. It's all fairly true to the concept car from last year's Shanghai Motor Show. That said, this exterior job is almost too clean. There doesn't seem to be a lot of character or substance beyond the typical Ford looks.
There's a similar issue in the cabin - it all looks pretty nice, but the design is rather plain, particularly when viewed alongside the display-filled cabin of a US-spec car. Still, there looks to be a fair amount of space in both the front and back seats, and the trunk isn't exactly tiny, either.

Europe's most-wanted classic car is... the Ford Mustang?
Sat, 28 Sep 2013Over the span of its 49 years and five generations, the Ford Mustang has held a special place in the hearts of automotive enthusiasts in the US, but, as it turns out, this car is also very popular amongst European car lovers. Earlier this summer, AutoScout24 - a new and used car shopping site in Europe - polled around 75,000 European "car lovers" (not sure how they vetted the respondents) to see which cars were the most popular, and the Mustang came out on top over iconic European classics like the BMW M1 and Volkswagen Beetle.
In the whole of Europe, 37 percent of those polled dream of owning a Mustang, but that number jumps in individual countries like Austria (42 percent) and Spain (41 percent). Rounding out the top five popular classics in Europe are the Mini and Citroën 2CV. Find out which cars made up the rest of the top 10 in the press release posted below.
