Strong-running 351C, with Summit 600cfm 4 barrel carb on Edelbrock manifold. 3 speed automatic, shifts firm, no slipping. Power steering and power disc-brakes. Singles exhaust through a new muffler mid-exit. Black-center, 17" wheels with polished lip. 14" original wheels with trim rings, minus one dog-dish hub cap, and good white-lettered tires. Factory A/C (no belt currently but all components are in place and seem to be in good condition). The heat/A/C controls work fine. Heater hoses disconnected when I purchased car. Might need a heater core. California Blue-Plate. (Tags just expired Feb. 2014). The body has some rust but not bad for the year. Some floor panels replaced. Others POR 15'd to any other rust on floor pans. Seat is black pleated vinyl and is in good shape. Carpet is fresh beige/neutral color. Original dash-pad is covered by black carpet cover. Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]

The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.

Some have suggested that the Bronco's demise was hastened by the fallout from the O.J. trial.
Twenty years ago today, ex-NFL linebacker Al "A.C." Cowlings drove his friend and onetime running back Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson on a parade lap of the Los Angeles highway system and onto an ignoble page of the history books. If you're in your late 20s or older, or a fastidious young student of 1990s American history, you're absolutely aware that Al and O.J.'s steed for the 'chase' was a white Ford Bronco. The white Ford Bronco, even.
Ford Escort returns, just not for US
Sat, 19 Apr 2014Ford is set to give the burgeoning Chinese market its very own C-segment model, while also reviving one of the brand's more notable nameplates. The new Escort, which will make its world debut at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show will be built in the People's Republic at the Changan Ford joint venture facility.
The Escort's exterior is best thought of as a mix of the finer points from the US market Focus and Fusion, with the Aston Martin-ish grille and narrow, wraparound taillights presenting a clean look at either end of the car. It's all fairly true to the concept car from last year's Shanghai Motor Show. That said, this exterior job is almost too clean. There doesn't seem to be a lot of character or substance beyond the typical Ford looks.
There's a similar issue in the cabin - it all looks pretty nice, but the design is rather plain, particularly when viewed alongside the display-filled cabin of a US-spec car. Still, there looks to be a fair amount of space in both the front and back seats, and the trunk isn't exactly tiny, either.
