1964 Ford Falcon Ranchero Pick Up Truck Rat Rod on 2040-cars

Year:1964 Mileage:20018
Location:

Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, United States

Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, United States

Here's a fun Rat Rod truck for you!

California truck showing a great body with tight weld joints and seams.

The builder liked the Rat Rod look so that he and his could use the truck more often.
They installed a rack and pinion steering system making it effortless to turn. It's unbelievable!
Radial wide white tires on red wheels looks very fifties and rides great.
An electric radiator cooling fan was installed for cruising the Back to the Fifties.
Mustang bucket seats look great and are very comfortable.
A B&M shifter is fun as well.
The red heavy metal flake roof looks great with the satin black body paint.
The "roll bar" was used to tie down two motor scooters or mini bikes back in CA
The bed is protected by a bed mat and tailgate by diamond plate.
A heavy duty rear bumper has a removable trailer hitch as an added bonus.

I drove this truck on a 4 hour run when we first picked it up. Onlookers loved it. Tons of thumbs ups!
It's really a well thought out truck. The 6 cylinder engine is strong and does a nice job.

Actual mileage is unknown. The odometer reads 20018 and appears to operate accurately.

The only drawback is that the fuel gauge does not work. I just fill it before we use it and log the miles. You know, old school!

We love odd, unique, and rare vehicles. Scooters', Snowmobiles, RV's, Buses, Antique Cars, Muscle Cars, Collector cars, Odd Cars, 4x4 Trucks, Vintage and Land Speed Racing. We keep everything in working order and ready to use.

The Ranchero is sold as is as shown with no warranties as to it's fitness of use.

Shipping costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Does the new 2015 Ford Mustang have a burnout control system?

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Whether it's lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring or automatic emergency braking, most of the electronic systems we see emerging on new vehicles focus on safety. But there are some there just for enthusiasts. We're talking about systems like automatic throttle blipping for perfect downshifts, or launch control to get that textbook acceleration from a standstill. But the latest system could prove just the opposite of the latter.
Although it has given us most of the details, Ford is still keeping certain elements of its new Mustang secret. But emerging reports may have the skinny on one system which Ford is trying is darnedest to keep under its hat for the time being. That, according to unnamed sources cited by Motor Authority, is burnout control.
The system is reportedly designed to help novices execute the perfect smokey burnout - sort of like launch control, but specifically the opposite. The system could, according to elaborative speculation, lock the front brakes while spooling up the engine to optimal revolutions before dumping (or indicating the driver to do dump) the clutch. A cloud of tire smoke and a long pair of skid marks would then ensue.

2015 Ford Mustang: Obsessively covered [w/videos + poll]

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

Here at Autoblog, we've officially stamped December 5, 2013, as Ford Mustang Day. Sure, the sixth-generation Pony Car started leaking out onto the web days ago, but all of the official, non-embargoed hotness has come out today. And man, there's been a lot.
In terms of new car debuts, this is a really big one - not unlike all of the Corvette madness that kicked off the 2013 automotive season. So to make sure you haven't missed anything, here's a wrap-up of everything you need to know about the 2015 Ford Mustang.

Ford demonstrates Mustang's new Line Lock burnout feature

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

Been saving your pennies for a 2015 Ford Mustang? Put in a few extra shifts or some overtime? Got a great down payment ready? Well, however much you saved for your new pony car, start saving more - you'll need the extra money to spend on tires.
That's because the Mustang will come with a system called Line Lock, which can lock the front brakes electronically, allowing drivers to perform big, dumb, smoky burnouts without moving so much as an inch. It's sort of like launch control, only the average driver might actually use it.
Now, line locks aren't uncommon, particularly in drag racing. Usually, a flip of the switch locks the front brakes. The Mustang, besides offering the system from the factory which is unique in and of itself, looks a bit more involved.
