You are looking at a 1961 Ford Ranchero that I restored for myself as a daily driver.  I bought this car from the original owner a few years ago.  He had replaced all of the steering components and shocks and then parked it for about 8 years, which is when I got it. It has right around 23,000 original miles. This is one of those cars that every one looks at when it drives by.  I have spent the last 3 years restoring this Ranchero as a fun way to save gas around town. I have spent countless hours on this car and I don't even want to add up the money I've spent. So, let's get to the details!

The engine (200 cu. in. inline 6) and transmission (C4 automatic) are out of a 1969 Ford Mustang and have both been rebuilt with about 5,000 miles on them.  They are in tip top shape with no problems what so ever.  All the electrical works.  It has a new aluminum radiator, new battery, newer alternator, new starter, all new belts and hoses. The brakes have been serviced and have newer brake shoes and 3 of the 4 wheel cylinders have been replaced. It also has a new driveline with u joints that was built to go with the C4 transmission. The exhaust is after market 2.5" with a glass pack.

On the inside, all the knobs have been replace, dome light, glove box liner, door light switched in the door jambs, head liner, rear panels. it has a new electric wiper motor from Newport Engineering, Panasonic CD Player and new kick panels with speakers,  The carpet and door panels have been replaced and the seat is original and has been redyed, it only has 2 small tears in it after all these years. The shifter is a Hurst Pro-matic 2 and the cable is brand new.  All the gauges work along with the lights in the dash.  It has a Sunpro triple mini gauge set that shows water temp, voltage, and oil pressure.

On the outside, it has a custom two-tone base coat/clear coat paint job that just in itself runs into the thousands.  It has new tires all around with the original Ford hubcaps and beauty rings. It has enough clear to be cut and buffed if ever wanted and it has a roll on bedliner.,  The tail lights are new, the headlights are new, the fuel sending unit is new. The gas tank was removed and cleaned, the fuel line has been cleaned.  The under carriage has been undercoated. Any rust in the car was very minimal and has been fixed and/or replaced. The gears are 3.50 and it doesn't have overdrive.  I usually drive it about 65 mph with no problems.  Any faster and it starts to get a little loud, but that's ok because the stereo works great! All of the weatherstripping has been replaced, new window rubbers, felts, hood to cowl seal, radiator support seal, rear bumper seal. Drives straight, brakes straight.

This is a great running car that is supposed to be just that.  I didn't make a show car, but I made a solid 8.5 out of 10 to turn heads and have fun while doing it. It wouldn't take much to make this a 10, some new chrome and glass along with some minor details is all it should take because that is all that is left!  Everything else has been done for you with quality.  Please look closely at all the pictures and check out the video, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me.  I love this truck and would probably keep it forever, but we are buying a new house and this is part of making that move happen.  I am sad to see it go, but my loss is your gain.  Feel free to fly out and drive it home.  I wouldn't be scared to take it cross country right now! If you would like to ship it home, then please arrange that on your own and I can assist from my end where needed.  As anything can happen with even the newest of cars, this one is sold as is, where is with no warranty.

Ford's Troller introduces even more rugged T4 SUVs in Sao Paulo

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

The Bronco may be long gone from Ford dealerships back home, but down in Brazil its spirit lives on in the Troller brand. Founded independently in 1995, Ford do Brasil took over Troller in 2007 and has been teasing us with its rough-and-tumble SUVs ever since. So with the Sao Paulo Motor Show coming up, Troller has revealed this special version of the T4.
Looking even more rugged than the existing three-door sport-ute, this special T4 packs a snorkel, winch, upgraded bumpers and knobbier tires. We're not sure what to make of the "sophisticated" brown and tan paint job, but send it north and the Jeep Wrangler would have a new challenger on its hands... especially since the Toyota FJ Cruiser was discontinued.
Alongside the version seen here, Troller will also exhibit another T4 outfitted for rescue workers. Scope out initial details of both in the press release below, enclosed in both its original Portuguese and auto-translated into English.

Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set

Tue, Jul 19 2022

Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence  the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
