1996 Ford Probe Gt V6 White 5speed 95k Mi Low Mileage Second Owner Title In Hand on 2040-cars
Corvallis, Oregon, United States
Up for sale is my 1996 Ford Probe GT. It has a 2.5L DOHC V6 engine with 95k miles on it. The transmission is a 5-speed manual. It is a two door coupe that seats four. Everything on the car is stock except for the air intake and the sound system/speakers. I am only the second owner in the car's history, have had it for about 4 years and have put about 10k miles on it. The car's title is clean and I have it in hand.
The good: -Less than 100k original miles is great for a car almost 20 years old -Interior is in good shape, there are a couple of cosmetic problems but it has seat covers that match on the front two seats -Brand new interstate battery with a 5 year manufacturers warranty (Feb, '14) -Aftermarket kenwood sound system: cd/radio/aux input single din deck with four kenwood speakers -full engine tune up when I bought it: timing belt, spark plugs, system fluids flush -regular oil changes since I have owned it -10% tint on all windows except the windshield -All power options on the car work: sunroof, windows and locks, side view mirrors, cruise control, and even the remote locks. I have the original set of keys (key and key fob) along with a spare key -Brand New rain-x windshield wipers -Full detail including the engine bay -Smoke-free environment The bad: -tires are at about 25% tread and will need replacing soon -trunk struts are broken so the hatch does not stay open on its own -one headlight motor is broken so it won't flip down, however both lights work when the headlights are turned on -the steering is a little off and it probably needs an alignment -it has California plates with expired tags Overall, this is a good car. The car has treated me well over the years and I will be sad to see it go. Its a perfect first car. For all the parents out there, consider that its a manual transmission, so you have to drive with two feet and two hands most of the time so you're not gonna be using a cell phone while driving. It also has an aux input so you can play Pandora through the car's speakers! All photos were taken April 14, 2014. |

Ford Announces Free Brake-Pad Offer If Customers Stop By Dealers
Mon, Aug 4 2014These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers. "We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts. Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1. "This program reflects our commitment to providing customers with an excellent ownership experience regardless of the age of their vehicle," said Frederiek Toney, President of Ford Customer Service, in the company's announcement of the offer. Hear the 2015 Mustang GT V8 roar for the first time
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Our combined knowledge of the 2015 Ford Mustang continues to deepen, as spy shooters have begun to compile video and audio of the upcoming sixth-generation car.
Case in point is this latest series of video clips, which not only gives us a great vantage point of the Mustang in motion, but also allows us to hear the Ford V8 engine and exhaust. After perusing the aural delights of this short video, which, admittedly, doesn't catch the Mustang GT at full song, we can at least say that the throaty exhaust isn't disappointing.
Chances are good that the 2015 Mustang GT will debut with some version of the current (and excellent) Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine, though we're unclear as to whether or not the motor has been massaged for its next-gen debut, or what may have been done to exhaust plumbing. At this point, we're just happy to hear the pony run. Scroll below to hear for yourself.
2015 Ford Mustang GT [w/video]
Fri, 19 Sep 2014At 50 years old, the object of fantasies, a tuner's dream, a movie star and more than nine million strong, it couldn't be truer to say that the Ford Mustang needs no introduction. This newest Mustang, however - making the biggest changes we've seen to the pony car since perhaps 1964.5 - is something Ford has been introducing all year.
We went on a Deep Dive, covered the way it looks when it was revealed, detailed the engine specs, got a ride in the EcoBoost and listened to the V8, got rolling footage and watched it do a standard-feature burnout.
The only thing left to do? Drive it. Having now done so for a few hours around Los Angeles, what we can tell you is to forget everything you know about the Mustang. This new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment.
