VIDEO PRESENTATION BELOW
This car was Fords creation meant to blow the doors off the
competition. The Cobra, which in 1994 displayed a more powerful V8, was now
able to go toe-to-toe with the Pontiac Formula/Trans AM as well as the Chevy
Z28 Camaro. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra
Around 10,000 units were produced this year, and the price tag was a little high compared to competitors. However, the Cobra did not fail to please most car enthusiasts that were searching for an adrenalin rush .
The exterior also saw some new modification not previously
seen on other year models.
The taillights were vertically themed, which was added to all mustangs that year, and paid homage to those of the original Mustang, with three quasi-vertical elements.
The black finish is good condition, it is showing some stone chips on the front, however, that is because the car is completely original and being sold by the original owner.
The special racing wheels and rear spoiler assure you that the car was going to do everything it could to drive all that power to the ground.
The interior is as cozy as could be for
a sports car back in that time.
The seats show a some wear, but have no tears.
The mileage on the odometer shows on the Auto Check report to be actual. The car scores way above average for car this model Mustang. We have the report avaiable for those who would like to see it.
All the luxuries are present; AC, power windows/steering, AM/FM radio and even cruise control all allow for easy driving habits.
But, the 5-speed allowed you to cut loose and go crazy whenever you felt necessary.
Whether looking for your first vehicle, or to catch a piece of Ford’s Cobra history, look no further.
Ford was at the time known for its beefy 5.0L V8 engine to
power the ponies in their stable, but this 1996 was the second year in which is
was given the factory 4.6L 32-valve V8 engine which produced an astonishing
305HP.
Plenty of power to smoke the tires whenever you felt the need. Also, roared a big enough rumble to turn heads from a distance away. Then, you are able to feel every ounce of power due to the factory Borg Warner T-45 5-speed transmission. Meaning you could speed shift your way all down the strip/street.
The car has been mechanically maintained and runs great.
The undercarriage is in excellent condition throughout.

Proving that there is still something to be learned on television these days, National Geographic Channel recently introduced a new series called Duck Quacks Don't Echo. On the first episode of this science/comedy show, host Michael Ian Black proposes the idea that a truck can be supported with a ceramic coffee mug under each wheel - yes, he says that the entire weight of a truck can be balanced on just four coffee mugs. Looking to find out whether this is fact or myth, the show uses a regular cab Ford F-150, weighing in at 4,800 pounds, and four average coffee mugs. Lowered onto the mugs, the idea is quickly put to the test. Can the cups hold up under 4,800 pounds? If so, what, exactly, would it take to break them? Scroll down below to find out.
Ford is being inundated with recalls as of late. Just days ago it called in over 590,000 cars for a variety of issues. Now, the Blue Oval has announced an expansion of its door latch campaign to cover an additional 156,000 vehicles in North America. Counting the original 389,585 cars, this has brought the total to 545,906. Under this expansion, the same models are affected, but Ford is broadening the coverage dates in some cases. The recall covers the 2011-2014 Fiesta, 2013-2014 Fusion, and 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ; there are 456,440 units in the US, 50,681 in Canada, and 38,785 in Mexico in need of repair. In these vehicles, a door might not latch because of a broken pawl spring tab. Even if a passenger can successfully close it, the faulty part could unlatch while driving. According to Ford, there are two allegations of doors bounding back and hitting a person. There's also one possible accident from a door opening and striking another vehicle. Dealers will replace all of the latches to fix the problem. Related Video: MAY 1, 2015 | DEARBORN, MICH. FORD EXPANDS DOOR LATCH SAFETY RECALL IN NORTH AMERICA DEARBORN, Mich., May 1, 2015 – Ford Motor Company is expanding a safety recall regarding door latches to include approximately 156,000 more vehicles at the request of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, bringing the total to 545,906 vehicles in North America. The door latch in certain vehicles may experience a broken pawl spring tab, which typically results in a condition where the door will not latch. If a customer is then able to latch the door, there is a potential the door may unlatch while driving, increasing the risk of injury. Ford is aware of a total two allegations of soreness resulting from an unlatched door bouncing back when the customer attempted to close it, and one accident allegation when an unlatched door swung open and struck the adjacent vehicle as the driver was pulling into a parking space. Affected vehicles include certain 2011-14 Fiesta vehicles built at Cuautitlan Assembly Plant, Nov. 3, 2009 to May 31, 2013; certain 2013-14 Fusion vehicles built at Hermosillo Assembly Plant, Feb. 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013; certain 2014 Fusion vehicles built at Flat Rock Assembly Plant, April 12, 2013 to April 26, 2013; and certain 2013-14 Lincoln MKZ vehicles built at Hermosillo Assembly Plant, Feb. 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013. There are 456,440 vehicles in the United States and federalized territories, 50,681 in Canada and 38,785 in Mexico.
The Ford Flex has been around. It's not T-Rex or even Model T old, but still; it's been hauling people and stuff since 2008 without a major redesign. That's quite a long time in the car world. Sales have been sliding the last couple of years, and the Flex is now considered a niche player in the crossover-centric US auto market. But that doesn't mean it's still not a pretty good vehicle for its purpose: If you need to haul people and stuff, there are few better choices. Some even think it's a guilty pleasure. I spent a winter afternoon tooling around suburban Detroit in a handsomely equipped Flex Limited. We're talking the 3.5-liter EcoBoosted V6 with 365 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Inside, there were big comfy seats, lots of leather, acres of storage space and even a built-in refrigerator. The drive ended up being surprisingly fun. If there's such a thing as a hot-rod minivan, this is it. I also got noticed. The Flex's boxy design has aged well. It's still polarizing, but there aren't many contemporary vehicles that look like a Flex. So if you've ever seen a Flex on the road, and thought: "Man, that thing is big. I wonder what it's like to drive that?" Now's your chance to find out.
