She's got a high-performance engine and a recently replaced (used) starter. Functional flip-up headlights with high beams; fog lights not working. Leaky tires, differently sized front and back. Spacious hatchback trunk. Originally red - previous owner (unknown) had upper/front body painted black (coarse, matte) with a blue streak and a pink (acrylic, flaky) bottom/rear. Minor chips/scratches throughout. Recently dented side-right toward the rear - scratched + cracked. Okay/half-blown speakers. One spot of split upholstery on the driver's seat - interior otherwise in great shape (few colored stains in the back seat.) Uninspectable in the (thoroughly regulated) State of Vermont due to rust on the body - rear bumper, exhaust, back axle. Uni-body, no replaceable frame parts. Driver's door slightly loose; causes door to stick, unclosed, which may drain the battery. Fair gas mileage. Recently got to 100k in October. Purchased a year ago from a friend in Rutland, VT, who also purchased it in its repainted mode. In another state, she's still got a drive left in her. It hurts to let my dream car go.

MotorWeek remembers pre-EcoBoost Ford with the Thunderbird TurboCoupe

Sometimes it feels great to embrace nostalgia for a trip down memory lane, and MotorWeek indulges that occasional desire with its regular Retro Review series. This time, the long-lived show goes back to the '80s to check out two of the top performance vehicles in the Ford lineup at the time – the 1987 Thunderbird TurboCoupe and Mustang GT. Both models had just received thorough refreshes after several years on the market. Long before an EcoBoost badge ever met its models, Ford made early forays into experimenting with turbocharging on vehicles like the T-Bird TurboCoupe. Based on MotorWeek's assessment, the company was on the right track. The boosted 2.3-liter four-cylinder was apparently a bit coarse but offered 190 horsepower with little turbo lag, compared to 155 hp the year before. The Mustang GT is likely the more-fondly remembered of these performance Fords today and provides an interesting point of comparison against the TurboCoupe. MotorWeek found some faults with the 'Stang, though. While it was quick for the time with a sprint to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, the 'car was described as "a nose-heavy beast" for its handling. More 2015 Ford Mustang pricing information leaks [UPDATE]

The big news this morning was that the 2015 Ford Mustang would start at $24,425, including its destination pricing. The big news this afternoon is, well, bigger.
Mustang6G.com has come up with what it claims is pricing info for the entire Mustang line, rather than just the V6. That means we know all about the EcoBoost and GT prices now, which, when combined with the dealer order sheets we reported on last week, gives us our clearest look yet at how the Mustang can be outfitted (we're still a bit short on pricing info for some standalone options, like paint premiums and such).
The base EcoBoost starts at $25,995, while the GT rings up at $32,925.
