With the miles, it had most of the original parts on it yet and as it obviously spent alot of time sitting in the garage we went through some things to make it reliable.

Full new exhaust system including convertor.

New Brakes

New rear wheel cylinders, shoes and hardware

New tie rod ends

New fuel lines

New brake lines to the rear

New cold air intake and filter

Fresh oil lube and filter.

Tires are all high tread Michelins on factory aluminum wheels.

Car drives amazing, like a time capsule from 1992

Everything works, including the air conditioning and the pop up headlights

Paint on the car appears to me to be original. It is slightly faded on the roof and the hood but presents itself nicely. There are two small areas with a rust bubble. One is under the 2.2 emblem on the right front fender and the other are two small bubbles on the right rear wheel lip. They are not noticeable in the photos and do not appear to be holes, just rust under paint.

Interior is as mint as it can get. Flawless.

Look at the photos, they tell the car as it is.

This is the only time this car will be available for sale. I personally drove this car for a few weeks, and to cruise nights, its an amazing little time capsule.

Part of the beauty of children is that they can find worth in something adults might deem unworthy or overlook entirely. Five-year-old Patch Hurty didn't see garbage or a broken piece of a car when he spotted a Ford badge lying on the side of a road. He saw an artifact, a souvenir, a start to a collection he could only dream of. Ezra Dyer of Popular Mechanics tells the story of Patch and his quest to turn that one lost badge into a museum of manufacturer logos. According to the article, Hurty is a car fanatic through and through, even using car names as a way of learning to read. After finding the Ford badge near his Connecticut home, he and his mom put together a plan to reach out to dozens of automakers, confessing his love of things on four wheels. In each letter, Patch assembled a picture of himself standing next to one of the cars, and a penny to pay for whatever he hoped was sent his way. The response was unexpectedly and overwhelmingly positive. Of the more than 50 letters he sent out, including to obscure or defunct companies such as Bugatti, Suzuki, and Saturn, a majority responded with warm notes and some type of souvenir. Two of the coolest responses came from Lincoln and Bentley. Lincoln sent a sketch of a Continental (all car lovers enjoy drawing cars, right?), and Bentley sent a wheel center cap. How awesome is that? The story reminds us of something that can easily be lost in all of the negativity involved with the auto industry: Everybody is in this because of a common infatuation with automobiles. $1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.
